HabsRuleForever
When I did watch baseball I cheered for the Expos & the "Kid" was one of my favourite players. This is indeed sad news. The 57-year-old Hall of Fame catcher, diagnosed last May with a malignant brain tumour, received results of his latest MRI exam Thursday, according to the online journal of his daughter, Kimmy Bloemers. She writes "I wish I could say that the results were good. ... There are now several new spots/tumors on my dad's brain. I write these words with tears because I am so sad for my dad." Carter, a former member of the Montreal Expos, had the MRIs Friday in North Palm Beach, Fla., and they were sent to his doctors at Duke University for evaluation. A day earlier, he fell at a doctor's appointment and completely tore a rotator cuff, Bloemers wrote, adding that he also fell on Christmas Eve. Guest
Sad news indeed. I was also a huge Carter fan when i did watch baseball. My interest died when the Expos moved. I'll always remember that huge smile of his. He loved the game, and showed it every day as a player. Tough days ahead.

kinot-1
Back when the Expos were playing, I used to watch them occasionally, and he was one of my top 3 favorites. R.I.P. Gary
