Montreal seeks its fifth straight victory in New Jersey when the teams face off Thursday night. Montreal (19-22-9) is coming off a 3-1 home loss to Buffalo on Tuesday despite Carey Price’s 37 saves. Earning victories on the road has been a tough task as well. The Canadiens’ 2-6-1 road record since Dec. 15, is second-worst among East teams, even though they’ve been tied or leading after two periods in their last six away from home. Louis Leblanc has been recalled from Hamilton for the Canadiens game in New Jersey Thursday night.

Ryan White will not return to action against the Devils.

Travis Moen is still out, and Andreas Engqvist – who played 4:12 and was on for the winning goal in that Tuesday stinkeroo against Buffalo at the Bell Centre – was sent back to Hamilton.

The Devils (27-19-3) are among the top eight in the East following their league-leading ninth shootout win, 4-3 over the New York Rangers on Tuesday. The Devils have been outscored 13-4 while dropping the last four meetings in New Jersey, scoring one goal in each. The Devils will be without Travis Zajac (Achilles), Henrik Tallinder (blood clot) and Adam Henrique (sore groin).

The Devils will be looking to build on their wild 4-3 shootout win over the Rangers on Tuesday while the Canadiens are hoping to avoid a losing streak. They were beaten at home by the Sabres, 3-1, on Tuesday.

Thank you Kinot-1 for the GDT...

The Leafs won Wednesday night and moved int seventh place. Florida won to move back into the third seeding, dropping Washington to ninth. The Sabres lost … but in a shootout, which gave them a point. And when the dust settled, the Canadiens were in 14th place – 10 out of a playoff spot with 32 to play.

OT,,,,but did anyone see the story about Columbus getting robbed out of a PT, last night? As the clock was ticking down to the 10ths of secs. it stopped and LA scored. If not, here it is

http://www.montrealgazette.com/sports/Columbus+steamed+stopped+clock/6092736/story.html

From what I've read is that the clocks used sometimes go a bit fast and it was the clock recalibrating itself as the 10ths of seconds went too fast.... Now why they would have the clock do that with such little time left I don't know.

hey! dont you dare put a scalpel anywhere near markie! unless you move to florida

can i interest you in trying your grafting experiments with soft hands on gomez instead? it would be so cool if he could finally score ... before the stupid anniversary celebrations planned for the weekend not to mention it would give me a point in the predictions thread

I was actually on CJAD Tuesday, they asked me about scalpels... Don't know if it would help his knee, but I'd make one cool design on his skin. ;)

does anyone watch habs online TV? It is not showing the devils game tonight, and I realize it wasn't showing sabres game Tuesday. Did it get shut down?

Couldn't tell you, have never really watched it.

NON! No more moints for you!

Instead of Markov's brain in Kaberle, can we put it in PK?

I think that's along the realms of the sites that can't be named here.
