HabsRuleForever
MONTREAL - Striker Bernardo Corradi has been cleared to play in the Montreal Impact's home opener. The club announced Friday it has received international transfer papers for the 35-year-old veteran of more than 200 Serie-A matches in Italy. Corradi signed a contract with the Major League Soccer expansion team this week. He will be available for the Impact's first home game against the Chicago Fire on Saturday. Corradi joined the Impact on a tryout two weeks ago. A crowd of up to 60,000 is expected at Olympic Stadium for the team's first home game in MLS. jenzed
Congrats on the first win. I'm a big soccer fan, I still play, although in a more defensive role now. The legs no longer do what I want them to do!!! To get 60,000 at the first home game is massive...........I know how hard it is to get a team going, and the amount of work and effort to get everything up and running is immense. So please all let's get behind this venture, let's make it work!!!! Am I correct in thinking that soccer is a summer sport in Canada/ North America?
