BigTed3
Well at least we kept it to 1 pt, but these are adding up. Take out all these OT pts and we'd be battling for 30th instead of 28th.

weepingminotaur
Yesssss. Not as good as a regulation loss, but the good ol' shootout rarely disappoints.

jenzed
Just a question to you more educated people..... say we were to overtake one more team, be it Minnesotta or Toronto or another, and finish 4th bottom, what would be the implications with regards to the draft as oppossed to finishing 3rd bottom? A team can only fall one spot in the lottery, so it changes our odds of moving up a bit but more importantly, leaves us with a slight chance of falling down to 5th after the lottery. It may end up being inconsequential, but there are 4 forwards in the draft head and shoulders above the rest. So to end up picking 5th does jeopardize our shot at one of those. That said, Edm is considered likely to choose a D man, which would give us our top-end forward. But it'd be nice not to leave that to someone else to decide. If we finish bottom 3, we guarantee a top-end forward being available.

If we finish 4th last we could get bumped to 5th because of the lottery. If we finish 3rd last we could get bumped to 4th. Each spot closer to #1 is a chance to pick a potentially better player. Each spot lower is the opposite plus the top 4 forwards should go in the top 4. I think the top ten after that has all defencemen. We desperately need a top forward. I think also, if we finish in the top 4 we have a slight chance at #1 overall in the lottery.

It's gonna be an interesting week or so. If we finish 4th last we could get bumped to 5th because of the lottery. If we finish 3rd last we could get bumped to 4th. ColRouleBleu
Even cole isn't his usual self, think it's finally sinking in or word has been sent down to keep it cool for a high draft picks. Cole played sick, he literally ran to the dressing room a couple of times tonight
ColRouleBleu
They must have him stapled to the bench. Total non factor in the emotional lift department the last two weeks. Anybody still want to give this guy a multy year deal?? He's a pretty effective cheerleader on the bench, for real.
ColRouleBleu
I heard the Nucks played Lappy on the first line last game. And he had a goal and 2 assists to show for it
ColRouleBleu
Funny moment of the evening : Price decided to sit in the middle of the bench at the start of the 3rd. The guys coming out of the dressing room were like WTH are you doing there, the faces they made were hilarious. I thought he was just joking and would go back to the usual goalie spot at the end of the bench but no, he stayed there for the rest of the game and a laughing Pleki emptied half a bottle of water on his back, in his jersey. Price continued to clown around all period long and at some point Groulx went to tell him to tone it down a bit.
