kinot-1
I've blocked that from my memory. Save to say that Express didn't get many viewers last night. Heck,,,I don't even want to read the sports sites.
BeanCountingHab
What a disaster. Losing Spezza is one thing, Cowan is another, but now Karlsson? After losing our own All Star Dman to a similar injury, I feel for them even though they're a divisional rival.

I guess we'll get to see that awesome depth Sen fans keep talking about.

Update on Karlson,,Sportsnet reporting a 70% tear in the Achilles tendon,,,,out 3-4 months.

Forza-Montreal
Im not a Ottawa fan what so ever, never liked them never will, But Karlson is a amazing player in the NHL, and to say that that cut from Matt Cooke is not intentional is Pro USA, Anti Canadian which I cant tolerate! Cooke should have been suspended for that cut, Brings back Markov memories that We didn't like what so ever I hope for a healthy return for Karlson, We know how Ottawa feels missing there star D man

Maybe it's anti Swedish? Look, it really sucks, and if I had my way Matt Cooke would have probably been kicked out of the league for one of his hits to the head a couple years ago. Having said that, I don't know how you can watch the replay and say there was any intent oh his part, and there's just no way he could be suspended for this. That actually makes me feel worse knowing Cooke is Canadian, having said that, i have never seen a player go into the boards lifting there foot and pushing it on the opponents tendon. Just my 2 cents Now Anderson went down Ottawa is getting banged up pretty bad & still holding in playoffs
ChiLla
Just watched the Karlsson presser on TSN, quite interesting actually. I don't think Cooke actually cut Karlsson on purpose, but I find it somewhat strange that it's always him who's somehow involved when other players are injured. How many guys has he taken out already? Off the top of my head, I count Sundin, Lecavalier, Cole, Karlsson, McDonagh, Markov, Savard. All impact players and I'm sure I'm missing some. There's nothing strange about those other instances, the guy is (or at least was if you believe he's changed) a head hunter. Otherwise no one would be questioning intent on this. Even though I don't think he did this on purpose, I don't have any sympathy about the accusations he's facing, he brought it on himself with his past. He's luck to still be in the league anyway. kinot-1
Ottawa Senators owner Eugene Melnyk says he is investigating Erik Karlsson’s season-ending Achilles tendon injury to find out if Matt Cooke’s hit was intentional. Melnyk revealed the team’s plans on Sportsnet’s Prime Time Sports Wednesday, adding that he wants to find evidence that proves if the Penguins forward took out one of his best players on purpose.
