jennifer_rocket
Carlyle has said today that their goalies (Scrivens and Reimer) are "NHL caliber". These 2 guys have a grand total of 82 NHL games under their belts. To be fair, Reimer has shown quality in some of his games. He seemed to struggle after getting bumped by Gionta last season. The sample size is way too small for Carlyle to say anything though. No one can be a sure "NHL Caliber" player before having more experience than 82 games. Hopefully Toronto trade for Luongo... Jbaker8787
Shocked. As someone who not so much by choice hear a lot about the leafs cannot believe this Unbelievable timing, you let him do the draft and free angency, wait through a lockout you knew was coming and then pull the plug? Great class Toronto Interested to see if it was something specifically happened in the last few days, maybe difference of opinion on a certain goaltender

Imagine waiting out this whole lockout only to get canned right when things were about to come around again. Also, TSN is now reporting that Dave Nonis is going to take over
kinot-1
Nonis is the new GM, they didn't say if it's interim or not tho. Speculation is that it has something to do with Louongo, as Nonis brought Lou to Van from Florida. Burke to stay on in advisory role.

Guest
From the laffs boards: "Never seen a team fire their GM when they're in first place" The Leaf board is certainly buzzing. Some shock but mostly elated fans organizing party's as we speak.

Flying_Lion
Most upset fans are from Boston. They still believe he works for the Bruins. On a similar note, Hockey Inside/Out noted that Burke and the entire Leafs brass were at a Marlies game together last night. The timing of all this seems odd, to say the least. Still, couldn't have happened to a more inflated ego.

roy_133
He's made some pretty glaring mistakes but he's also done a good job taking a farm system that was totally bare and making it productive. Weird move, must have been a personality clash.
