kinot-1
From TSN: "The New York Islanders are set to announce that they will be moving to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York when their lease expires at Nassau Coliseum after the 2014-15 season. The team has called a news conference for this afternoon at the new arena, which will be home to the NBA's Brooklyn Nets this season. The news conference will be attended by Islanders owner Charles Wang and general manager Garth Snow, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg among others. Wang has been lobbying for a new arena for his team for several years. The Nassau Coliseum has been home to the team since it was built in 1972. Wang has been frustrated in his attempts to find a new location in recent years. Last summer, his proposal to build a new arena and keep the Islanders on Long Island was voted down in a referendum by local residents."

Will they try to bring the Dodgers back to Brooklyn? But that's another topic.
MkGee
Rofl Reinhardt IMO better then Murray.. harder hitting.. bigger more offense and good in his own end. Who would you rather have Shea weber or Scott Neidermayer(however it's spelled). Not that it matters.. this team is hopeless, ugly jersey, no fan base, and only one guy to put the puck in the net. FirstStar
Visnovsky has until 10am et Monday to report to Islanders Heard about that this morning on the radio. Wondered if they'd be any players defecting, got my answer. Wasn't looking good for Kovy, but he finally showed up in New Jersey... Really don't blame him, have you ever been to NJ? Kind of odd for me since I grew up in the 70s/80's. I'm use to people defecting here to play hockey (Stastny bros, Svoboda and a few others), not use to them defecting to Russia.
