kinot-1
Nice to see him sign the 1 year, 2 mil. deal,,,,,,,,,,,with 1 mil. of that, being paid for by the laffs. . Whenever I saw him play, it seemed like he was always trying hard, but for whatever reason, he didn't pan out in TO.

fansince1975
Nice cap hit for our team. Should give our new coach lots of choice for the 3rd, 4th and press box players with Moen, White, Noke, Blunden, Armstrong, Prust, and likely Eller centering the 3rd line and possibly one or two rookies getting ice time on the 3rd / 4th lines. Injuries will happen. Back to back will happen. Looks like our team will have plenty of depth for the 3rd and 4th lines. Ideally the rookies can stay in Hamilton for most of the season so they can develop while the low cap hit veterans like Noke, Armstrong, White, and Blunden play a solid physical role in the bottom 6 forwards. These depth signings should really help Bournival, Geoffrion, Holland, Leblanc, Schultz and other young players can play together in Hamilton so they develop with lots of ice time. Team toughness seems the "Identity"first order of business that will be taken by the Habs and the "Baby Habs" Bulldogs in Hamilton.Colby is healthy and looking forward to playing for his childhood team, that should spell trouble for the Opposition. Jbaker8787
It would make my year if Armstrong has a full season gets 35-40 points and is getting half his paycheck from the leafs. Can't wait to see his first game against/in TO, hes sure to be pretty jacked up for those games.

CATATAFISH
Armstrong wins his contract by a "nose" I'll never forget his funny comment after he got that black eye from a sucker punch. "How did he miss my nose?"

That's correct but I wonder for the life of me why you check the schedule on tsn instead of canadiens.com
jennifer_rocket
I always hated Armstrong when he played for Pittsburgh and Toronto. I guess I'm going to have to change my tune now that he's a Hab. He should add some sandpaper to the fourth line, I s'pose.

He can be an effective player - and if that quote is true (that the habs were his childhood favorite team) who knows, maybe we'll see more from him than he's ever shown before. For $1m it was an easy risk to take. Will be great if it pays off.

I'm not sure if he sticks around past this one season, but hopefully he can get back to being effective third line forward who contributes 20-30 points. ChiLla
My darkhorse for the vacant second-line winger spot. Entirely possible when he's healthy. Not sure if he can consistently keep up with Pleks/Gionta though.
