#53 Ryan White 2012-2013

The 4th line hasn't looked this good in decades,White Prust and Moen would be a really good line to end the periods with.

I think Travis has an opportunity (Brandon as well) to probably get time playing on the third line. I anticipate Armstrong possibly contributing fourth line minutes. Probably Ryan White for sure.

I'd rather Colby on the 3rd line. He's got more offensive upside.

I really struggle with people labeling players , 4th line, 3rd , 2nd etc , let them play , let them show what they can do , Sutter's 8th place Kings won the Cup because he told all of them play 37 to 45 seconds hard, balls to the wall hockey, mixed up his lines , rewarded hard work and used his sense as to who was hot that night , but above all he made the "WHOLE" team roll , short shifts no pigeon holeing , roll with who was producing that night , all you peeps wanna label a guy a certain "Liner" , man o man have you ever played the game ???

Bunch of arm chair coaches , would really like to know how much real game experience any of you really have.....

Sorry. I tend to think of lines one and two as offensive lines and number three and a shutdown defensive line. Line four... I don't know. Energy dudes with varying degrees of talent?

Sure, it's great to get contribution from your bottom six, but in the salary cap NHL, you have to get production from guys who you are paying to be top 6 forwards and put up points.

We can talk about Jarret Stoll and Dwight King all we want, but the Kings won their cup because of a fantastic performance between the pipes from Quick, great defensive play, and tons and tons of depth at forward.

Their size played a big role as well. Let's no forget they got a lil help from Keith, not having one of the sedins to start the post season put the nucks behind the 8 ball and gave the kings a massive confidence boost once they knocked off the president trophy winners.

There's a reason players are " labelled " <edit>

Do you think a team ( say the Habs ) would have much success if guys like White, Prust , Nok (?) , Armstrong , are playing 20 + minutes a game and guys like Pac, Cole, Gionta , Pleks etc are playing under 10 minutes .

Highly unlikely

A bit of a forgotten man with the signings of the new free agents to play the 3rd and 4th. With the lockout shifting the schedule to a fully intra-conference schedule, the importance of winning division games and the intensity of the games against rivals will likely go up. A line of Prust, White, and Moen could go a long way to keeping pace with the 4th lines in Boston, Ottawa, and Buffalo. We've been tossed around by the likes of Shawn Thornton, Chris Neil, and Gregory Campbell for a few years and it will certainly help to have a couple of guys who can handle them. I'm hoping this can be the season White establishes himself as a regular, and I think having two vets like Prust and Moen with him can make an interesting 4th line.

Like him sticking up for teammates but he didn't need to the blindside the guy with punches and put the team at a huge disadvantage. He could have stepped up in many other ways, especially against a skill player who isn't a fighter.

The penalty didn't cost us but it really could of.

Stupid play , I don't know about that but the hit from behind on Georges is very very dangerous I would like to see the instigator taken out to allow the players to protect thier teamates , 2 minutes for boarding which is the type of hit there is no place in hockey for , vs 2 minutes and five for fighting when all the guy did was turtle and take a few shots , but that type of hit can cost carreers. Instigator rule needs to go.
