kinot-1
shame, but it looks cool ;-; Well,,,it IS a prime piece of real-estate. Right now,,,,,they are getting zip for it. With the condos, they will have a very good return for that chunk of land.

FirstStar
if i had bought a brick i'd be asking for my money back. Honestly, I'd be a lil upset. Those bricks weren't given away, people payed a lot of money to have their names put on a brick. When people purchased those bricks, they knew exactly where those bricks were going. Now, who knows where they'll end up, people may have thought differently if they knew their bricks would only be in that location for a few years, then transferred somewhere else in the future. It's one thing to purchase a brick and have it moved 30-40 years down the road. It's another to purchase them and have them moved within a 5 year span. Who knows, they may move them to an even better location, but the point is, they knew where the bricks would be when they purchased them. They may have sold a lot less bricks if the future of the bricks was unknown. I even believe that the people were told it would be there forever. They may stay in the same general area, but it's a tad deceiving imo.

"Fans who purchased bricks for the Centennial Plaza where the new condo development will be built need not worry. Brick by brick, the Plaza will be carefully removed during construction before being reintegrated into the project after completion – a crucial selling point for Molson". Noob616
I would assume they'll use the bricks around the base of the building or something. I dunno, I think I'd be a little peeved if I paid for one and expected it to be a part of the plaza, and then it got moved 4 years later :/

"Fans who purchased bricks for the Centennial Plaza where the new condo development will be built need not worry. Brick by brick, the Plaza will be carefully removed during construction before being reintegrated into the project after completion – a crucial selling point for Molson". The point is, when the bricks were purchased, people knew exactly where they were going. There was even an artists sketch depicting how it would look. The people who purchased these bricks pretty much payed for the supplies and installation. Fact is, they knew how and where they would be placed. Had they been given a vague idea, like the press release states, I'm not so sure people would've shelled out the bucks. They don't even know themselves how it will be incorporated (otherwise they would've said so in their press release), all they said was, "no need to worry...". They may be part of the new development, but they could end up in an obscure area that is out of the way. Those who purchased the bricks knew exactly where their bricks would end up, they were even sent a floor plan and an artists depiction. They shelled out the bucks cos they knew it would be where the statues of Richard, Beliveau, Morenze and Lafleur are placed as you enter the bell centre. I seriously considered purchasing one of the bricks. Hearing this, I'm glad I didn't. Shelling out that much money I want to know where it will be placed.
