BULLDOGS SIGN ZACK STORTINI TO AHL CONTRACT By: Hamilton Bulldogs 09/21/2012 11:59 AM - MONTREAL, QC – Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today that the Club has signed forward Zack Stortini to a one-year American Hockey League contract for the 2012-2013 season. As per club policy, financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Stortini, 27, has spent parts of six seasons in the National Hockey League with the Nashville Predators and Edmonton Oilers, registering 41 points (14 goals, 27 assists) and 725 penalty minutes in 257 regular season games. The native of Elliot Lake, Ontario has played in 220 regular season games over six seasons in the AHL with the Milwaukee Admirals, Oklahoma City Barons, Springfield Falcons, Hamilton Bulldogs, Iowa Stars and Toronto Roadrunners, posting 48 points (24 goals, 24 assists), 683 penalty minutes and a +14 rating. Stortini was a member of the Calder Cup-winning 2006-2007 Hamilton Bulldogs, producing 15 points (nine goals, six assists) and a team-leading 195 penalty minutes in 47 regular season games and three points (three goals) and a team-high 56 penalty minutes in 22 post-season games. Stortini played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Sudbury Wolves, registering 120 points (55 goals, 65 assists) and 746 penalty minutes in 247 regular season games.
