Larry-Launstein-Jr
I really wanted to see this one, but sadly, I missed it. Led Zeppelin was the band honored by the Kennedy Center. The band Heart did such a stunning remake of Stairway To Heaven that they actually transformed themselves into Led Zeppelin for a few brief moments. It is one of the most transcendent moments I've ever seen on video. Check it out here:
Guest
My all time favourite group. Chicago is a close second. Great music,,,,,not like the stuff we hear today where you need to listen to a song a dozen times to pick up one line of lyrics.
FirstStar
What the hell happened to "Heart"? They use to be such a rockin band. Oh yeah, the 80's happened. It happened to Led Zep as well.

Chicago will always be numero uno to me - but Led Zeppelin is in the conversation. No secret that these two bands dominated the 1970s.
