Up until this season, I really thought we'd see Beaulieu in a Habs uni before Tinordi(despite being drafter the year after Tinordi), now it's looking like Tinordi will suit up before Nathan. kinot-1 Posted January 15, 2013 Report Share Posted January 15, 2013 IMO,,,only 2 of those suggested have a chance of making the cut,,,Gally-A and Gally-B. The rest will be sent back, but each will be given a good look. MB has had ample time to watch these kids and "should" know their defficiences and strengths, but this is a new level so anything can happen. He's definitely better now compared to how he started the season in Hamilton. He has the talent, never doubted that. Seems to be a harder learning curve than he expected. BigTed3 Posted January 15, 2013 Report Share Posted January 15, 2013 I'd put the odds on Dumont being here to start the year at about 70%, just because Nokelainen is out and Pleks may not start the season either. I think he's the type of player Therrien likes. I'd put the odds of Galchenyuk starting the season here at about 80%. I think he's impressed in camp thus far, and I think he'll get the 5-game look at least. Gallagher has about a 15-20% chance in my books, and the others have virtually no chance of being here at the start of the season. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Rooting for the kid since I know a few CHL players who have played with/against him and they've all said he's going to be a great dman some day. Obviously 1st goes to Gally in the talent department, then for availability on the Habs... Has to be Dumont. Bournival and Gallagher... Their size is going to be their big hurdle. The habs have tried hard to bulk up our top 6 after seeing us being pushed around for the last few years. Really, we can't put them on the 2nd line with Pleks and Gio-they'll be murdered. Larry-Launstein-Jr Posted January 16, 2013 Report Share Posted January 16, 2013 I don't see us as a playoff team anyway, at least not this year, so I say get some of the young guys in, such as Galchenyuk. I would rather have him learning at the NHL level. I believe he can help the Habs this year. And thank God Gomez was sent home. Looks like he overstayed his welcome.
