BigTed3
POTW is back. We want to know who you think will go above and beyond and exceed all expectations this season. Will it be a rookie in his first year? Will it be Markov coming back from injury? Will Kaberle or Bourque rebound after a down year? Or will Eller make that big jump to the next level? Let us know! Manatee-X
I'm going with Kaberle. Not because I think he'll be the best player on the team (or even this list), but mainly because my feeling is that general expectations are so low to begin with. I think, if he's given a stable partner and lots of PP time, that Kabs will show flashes of what got him the contract that everyone hates so much. Guest
I went with Bourque. I think Therrien just might get some value out of him,,,,,, or kill him trying.
uncivilengineer
Can't spell redemption without Rene
ColRouleBleu
Most pleasant, definitely Markov but that's not really a surprise so I voted Bourque
HabsRuleForever
I voted for Lars. I just have this feeling this is his year to show us something special.
powerplay2009
I went with Lars on a gut feeling. Although I think that both Kaberle and Bourque will make management think hard about the 1 buyout left.
BigTed3
Going to go with Kaberle. He's lost weight, he'll have had time to finally settle in to the team, and he (hopefully) won't have to be playing with rotating partners every game. Instead of seeing him paired with the likes of Weber or Diaz, it would be nice to see him get a defensively-solid partner like Bouillon or Gorges. I think it will go a long way to putting him into a comfort zone. And with Subban out, I think we'll see the duo of Markov and Kaberle flourish on the PP. muskeg2
I chose Eller because I think he'll be given an increased responsibility on the team this season, allowing him to blossom offensively.
Guest habs1952
I went with Eller while hoping he'll have decent line mates.
hatethosebruins
Went with Markov as I feel that he may play the full year
Manatee-X
I won't change my vote, but after game 1 I think that Bourque may have the early lead in this category. He exceeded my expectations on a night when few other things did
THEBIGGESTHABSFAN123
It was a hard choice. I was thinking Bourque might return to his old Calgary form, but I chose Lars, I think it's a make or break year for him, I think he will exceed expectations. kinot-1
I voted Bourque because he has something to prove. Now that the transition from Calgary to Montreal is over, there are no more excuses. He should be well enough to be back in game shape.
