BigTed3
Simple question: which games next week will we win? You can select multiple answers... it'll be a tough week, with 4 games against playoff-ranked teams and with 3 on the road. Will the 1st-place Canadiens keep up with their current pace? Guest
All winnable games. I would have said the Pens would be the tough game, but losing Malkin balances it out a bit more. I'm with 52. And we better beat the Leafs.
roy_133
I'd take 2-1-1, anything more would be gravy. Tough week.
BigTed3
I agree, I think 5 points is a reasonable goal for the upcoming week. Ottawa is a game we should win, given their injuries and the fact that we usually get a decent Habs crowd there. That said, that team is still playing well with what they have. The Leafs have played us tough this year and the Bruins game will be a toughie for both sides. I think we need to bear down in our one home game, whether Malkin plays or not. I'm hoping we can exploit Fleury and that that will be the difference. I'd start Price in all 4 games if he's playing well, but if I had to pick a game to play Budaj, it would be Toronto. I'd also think about slotting Kaberle in for Markov in the Toronto game. The way Markov is playing, I think Kaberle can give us just as much and give Markov a chance to have a short break and get back in against the faster Pens well-rested. roy_133
We have 2 different 3 in 4 situations in the first 10 days of March so points will be at a premium. We have to keep piling up now, any 3-4 game losing streak could murder us.

BeanCountingHab
I think 3 of 4 wins is possible, I'll be hoping for that. 5 points as roy and Ted pointed out is a reasonable goal. To be honest, whatever happens as long as we don't lose to Toronto I think I'll content. I think even if we can go .500 over the next 8 games we're actually in very good shape. kinot-1
Seems to be no easy wins there, but probably the Pitts game would/should be the easiest. I picked the Mon., Wed., and Sat. games as the most winnable because those other teams will play hard and will drag us into playing the game with passion and "smartness". At least the games are spaced out so we have not BTB games in there. Personally, I don't care if the Habs play "rope-a-dope" and/or get outshot 20-7,,,,if we win,,,that's all that matters. jennifer_rocket
I'm thinking Toronto will beat us again. I think we can beat Pittsburgh, especially with Malkin suffering from concussion like symptoms. Ottawa is, HOPEFULLY, on the verge of collapse given all of their injuries. Boston will be another battle.

31Careyprice
I agree with roy_133, I will be satisfied with a 2-1-1 record; Habs beat Toronto and Pitsburg.
ColRouleBleu
I picked Ottawa, Toronto and Boston. We need those wins in the division. I'd be OK with a .500 or above record though, as long as they dont mail in any of those games.
powerplay2009
I didn't vote because I have no idea. But 5 points against these teams would be really good. The best teams get 5 or 6 points on stretches like this. Honestly, I wouldn't be too upset with 4 as long as they came against Toronto and Boston. BigTed3
Not a bad week in the end with a record of 2-0-2 and 6 out of 8 points. We've really held our own against top-tier teams in the East. The games this weekend weren't pretty, but they were games that tested our abiity to come back and stay in games with a talented team and an intimidating team, and we fared reasonably well in each. 31Careyprice
Pretty solid week for the habs, this team isn't that that talented to be first in the east but it has heart and soul.

jennifer_rocket
Nice! We picked up 6 of a possible 8 points. Now we have a few more games on the road.
Manatee-X
I had hoped that we'd do well, but if you had told me coming into this week that we'd lose the game against the Isles and still come away with 6 of 8 points I'd have been a pretty happy camper. Well done, Habs

Well done, Habs It just occurred to me that we played Ottawa in the first game this week and not New York. Oh well, my comment stands in that I'm still happy with the results
