GhostsInTheForum
Canes look like the perfect example of a team playing desperation hockey. They want to get that playoff spot really bad.
dwdemonwolf
Markov makes some bad pinches (though lately he's been better at choosing his moments), but Emelin isn't keeping enough track of what's going on and will sometimes skate around like a headless chicken. Both lack the foot speed to make up for positional errors. I'd like to see Gorges with Markov, Emelin with Subban.
BigTed3
On the plus side, Plekanec line has looked dangerouson every shift.
habs_93
The only positive I've taken from this period so far is that I'm fairly sure MT will notice the problems and adjust in the intermission. I have faith in that. With this team, a one goal deficit—particularly in the first period—is nothing.

GhostsInTheForum
Perhaps Markov and Emelin should try playing on different lines but tell me, where would this team be right now if those two had been injured the last couple months? The thought of that disturbs me far more than some of the gaffes they create.
kinot-1
Geeez I wish Markov would shoot when he's in the slot.
habs_93
Not the worst PP of the year, but still not great.
montreal961
LOL @ that PP. Why wouldnt markov shoot the puck right in the slot? Nope. decides to pass to the side on the goal line.

The thought of that disturbs me far more than some of the gaffes they create. Markov's value is on the PP. At ES and on the PK, he's been more of a liability than an asset. Maybe if he weren't overtaxed, things would be different, but they are what they are. Therrien needs to make a change in combos or in ice time allotment. habs_93
It's periods like this that make you scratch your head and pull your hair out. We score nearly at will against teams with top-5 goalies and respectable D corps, but we struggle against Carolina's third string goalie and rather unfortunate blueline. I1IscottieI1I
should trade for another top 4 d man and put markov with boulion
BigTed3
I'm actually afraid that if MT makes a change, he won't want to touch Subban-Gorges. As a result, I think he may end up swapping Bouillon for Emelin, which I don't think helps us at all. Feeling the PP will score.
