BigTed3
With the playoffs just about guaranteed now, the next question becomes who our first-round opponent will be. There are still a large number of teams who could fill that role, but we want to know which of the most likely possibilities you would like to see us play. You can choose the team you think we'd have the easiest time beating or the one you think would give the most exciting series, but either way, pick your poison! THEBIGGESTHABSFAN123
Jets. Other than them the Rags who are also more likelier to play us.
habs_93
I'm still totally unimpressed by the Rangers.
BeanCountingHab
Ya I voted Jets, Rangers would be my next choice.
BigTed3
I took the Jets, again because of their playoff inexperience relative to other teams. I'll turn the question on its head as well, and ask which of the teams you'd hate to face in the first round as well. For me, it's Toronto, just because of the unknowns that always seem to come out in games against the Leafs.

I don't think they'd be the hardest to beat or anything, but of any team, I don't think I could stomach a loss to the Leafs so I'd hate to risk it. Could be a great series though. powerplay2009
I'm kinda torn. A Habs-Leafs series is long overdue, given that they haven't played in my lifetime. But it would be stressful beyond belief, and the Leafs have seemed to have our number of late.
jennifer_rocket
I voted NJ.
HabsRuleForever
I took the Rags because of our dominance over them this short season.
Guest
I think we would come out the healthiest vs the Caps or Jets in the first round. I'd rather meet only one surviving bruiser teams later in if need be.
31Careyprice
The Rangers because the habs for some reason this year just seem to dominate them. 3-0 W March 30 3-0 W Feb 23 3-1 W Feb
jennifer_rocket
Dominance is something that can change quickly. Just because we have defeated the Rangers three times this season doesn't mean we will beat them in the next 4/7.

I just felt they would be a good fit to play in the first round. Also maybe the Jets or Devils. There still a few games left with some teams still fighting so the playoff landscape will probably change a few times still.
Manatee-X
I went with the Senators. I think it would be a fun series to watch, but I also think that they've been playing over their heads this year. How many games have they won by a goal now? I just think that, with the injuries that they've had, they aren't going to be a huge threat in the post season. Also I'd both love and hate to see us play the Leafs. They've given us some trouble this year, sure, but I think that's still a team that we could beat fairly handily if it came down to it. With that said, the stress level might just be too high for me to handle as a fan . It would sure be a wild ride, though! I'll also add that I think that Winnipeg and the Isles would both be very beatable, but I couldn't list every team. To be honest, though, there's really not a team on that list that I don't think we should beat in a 7-game series.
