Goaltending usually helps a little too. Three goals on 5 shots is a bit of a downer. ;)

It is, but it's also not sustainable. It's the kind of outlier that you look at ten years later on a graph and scratch your head. It doesn't make sense, nor should we expect it to.

And it's why i have no fear of these guys in a 1st round matchup. We should dominate if we play our game.

How terrible does that extension to Desharnais look now? :o We're stuck with him for four more years, and a guy three years his junior getting significantly less OZone time is matching him in points.

Bourque looks like the Bourque Calgary traded: lazy, uninterested.

Ryder is playing his way out of a new contract with us this summer, hopefully.

I'm happy with the score tonight, but I don't like where the team is at as we head into the playoffs. There are way too many players in slumps or not producing: Bourque, Plekanec, Gionta, Ryder, Pacioretty, Desharnais. That's our entire top six not firing. Were it not for the Eller line, I don't know where we'd be. And Diaz hasn't been impressive either.
