Everyone start listing off moments to qualify by Monday and I will make a ballot. THEBIGGESTHABSFAN123
The last game of the season(win vs laffs) maybe....
Guest habs1952
I'd say the regular season. From last to 2nd in one year gave me immense enjoyment and brought much more positive posting here on the forum.
FirstStar
I've mentioned it a few times, but I loved the comeback game against the b's. I also like how we had rask's number this season.
BigTed3
- I'd agree with FS... the comeback win against the Bruins in the SO was a good one. - The 7-6 loss to the Pens in OT was also an exciting game despite the result. - Andrei Markov's early-season success coming back from injury. - Francis Bouillon pounding down Steve Ott as the Habs blow out Buffalo - Lars Eller's emergence, exemplified by his 3-point night against the Canes - P.K. Subban's Norris trophy-worthy season and nomination
roy_133
There wasn't really one DEFINING moment, like in 07-08 with the 5-0 comeback. The Boston comeback comes closest I suppose. We played consistently well, outshot teams and controlled the play in a vast, vast majority of games. It was fun to see. Galchenyuk's 1st goal was very fun for me, just the hype of following him predraft, being thrilled we took him, watching him tear up the OHL and have a so-so WJHC. BigTed3
Another one I'll add would be just the draft in general. I had wanted Galchenyuk to be our choice quite badly that I was ecstatic when it happened. The other picks TT made were also seemingly lauded by many scouts and media members, although the jury remains out. But that draft may well be the best thing that happened to this franchise in some time.
grecohab
Best moment definetely was the Bruins come back...
powerplay2009
Something I remember is the first game this season that we won this season (the second game of the year IMO) and somebody went to give the game puck to Price, who gave it to Therrien, who was then running around postgame trying to find Bergevin to give the puck to. Really set the "team first culture" to use the cliche to me. Just something that sticks out for me personally, not sure about anybody else. Also, no props for the early morning press conference announcing the end of the lockout?
ColRouleBleu
All those already mentioned are pretty good, I'll add a few more: Saying bye bye to Gomez from the start Therrien doing highfive to the guys after wins Prank played on Beaulieu at the Provigo public practice (they let him skate a lap by himself before jumping on the ice) Gallagher's grin Price's "save" from the bench to save Marc Denis' face Subban schooling Turris in a fight Subban's hit on Neal Excitement of the crowd each time Galchenyuk enters the o-zone with the puck Markov not missing a single game Sweeping the Rangers and making Torts blow a few gaskets Therrien's beginning of the season quote : "Pas l'temps d'niaiser" This year's team motto: No Excuses and living up to it Overall regular season results The of the cloak & daggers attitude from the front office Ovation for Bouillon in the season opener ceremonies Eller's overall progression Subban accepting the 'no triple low five with Price' policy and turning it into 'high five to all team mates' Bourque's rebirth from last year Fun atmosphere around the team, in practice, during game and in media scrums Galchenyuk's beauty shoot out goals

jedimaas
There were ups and downs, good and bad plays & a heck of a lot more to cheer for this year than I expected, but without a doubt, the #1 thing for me this year was seeing Lars Eller skate last week after only a week prior wondering if his promising career was over. For a short while there, I had no care about hockey, the series, the playoffs. I was genuinely concerned about the health and safety of a player, a human being. Seeing him back on his skates - acknowledging that there's still a fair bit of work to do for his rehab - made my season.
HabsRuleForever
I agree with a lot of these moments especially Eller. However my favourite moment was before the season even began & we used one of our compliance buyouts.
kinot-1
All of those previously listed are worthy of great moments, but I would include Budaj's play as a back-up. Without his 8-1-1 record, and 2.29 GAA and .908 SAA, it's quite possible we would have been fighting for a PO spot.

Like he said, it's in the past and the league dealt with it, no reason for him to stir the pot. Showed a lot of maturity, props to Eller for showing heart and maturity through this. MergenTatara
Favourite Moment The 6-5 shootout win vs Boston Bruins. Rallied back from 2 goals down in 3rd period with clock ticking away. Both teams hilariously couldn't score in shootout until Brenden Gallagher resolves the issue. Must have shocked the home crowd in TD Garden. Worst Moment The playoffs meltdown against Ottawa Senators. After all the hype and hardwork of previous months...then the blowout losses and disgraceful brawl . Lack of depth, toughness and mental strength all cruelly exposed . Proved we didn't get out of the season ending slump after all. Biggest Player Surprise Brenden Gallagher. Wow, the rookie showed what grit, determination, perseverance and confidence is all about. Wasn't intimated by bigger-sized defenders and being manhandled. Stepped out of Galchenyuk's shadow. Puts the veteran players who couldn't step up at the crucial moments to shame. Biggest Player Disappointment David Desharnais. No impact after the first few games. Virtually disappeared in games and couldn't put up the goals when we needed him. And he was supposed to be our No.1 centre after last season.
