Now we want to know who you want at LW. These are all players listed by the NHL as being natural LW's despite what positions they may rotate through. The only exception is John Tavares, who is a center but who has been carried over in the voting because of a large number of votes in the center tallies. Please select your top 4 and let us know why you chose them.

I went with Neal, Nash, Kane and Tavares. Tavares should make it, but he didn't get the center vote. Kane is a dark horse IMO, but I think he's quite underrated, Nash played well last time and is just a great player (played well with Crosby IIRC), and Neal is from Pittsburgh and should play really well with Crosby, and if nothing else I think he's better than the other wingers on this list.

The first two guys I'd pick would be two players from the Jets: Evander Kane and Andrew Ladd. Both guys are hard-nosed players who can bring grit and scoring ability at the same time. Patrick Sharp is a close third for me, an underrated player who can be asked to play a number of different lines but who's used to playing behind stars and still performing well in an understudy type of role. The last spot was a much tougher choice, but I took Neal for his performance the past couple of seasons. Yes, he's played with great players, but he'll be playing with great players in the Olympics too. It's hard to cut Nash given his play at the international level in the past, but having seen him with the Rangers a number of times this year, he just doesn't impress all that much with his style of play.

Nash, Kane, Sharp, Tavares. I'm afraid I didn't do much critical analysis on this one, folks. I basically just picked a guy who's done well for Canada in the past and is still young and on form (Nash) and three guys who stick out in my mind as having played well recently for whatever reason. Neal would have been my fifth vote, if I had one.

I went with Hall, Nash, Sharp and Marleau.

Hall is young, but has experience due to his WJC days. They'll be playing on bigger ice which could be good for a guy like Hall, use his speed and skill to his advantage.

Nash, his size alone is an asset, just look what he did at the WJs.

Sharp, good 2 way player, great defensive skills and can also find the back of the net. Good to have him on the ice if the play comes back the other way.

Marleau is another big body with a scoring touch. But for Marleau to be effective, he needs a good play maker on his line. Set him up and he'll pot them.

I like Kane, but since I already have Hall, I'd go with experience.

These polls are flawed because some centers will play LW (and RW) on Sochi anyways. And I know it was explained why Tavares is listed here after being listed in the C's, but it doesn't make any sense.

Way more than half of the guys on that list have absolutely no chance of being on Team Canada for Sochi...

I don't hold any of the rags players responsible, has to be tough playing for Torts. If Nash could score while with a basement team, there has to be something happening with him in NY since he hasn't done much, despite some good linemates. But they've all struggled in NY, reason why sather finally decided to fire Torts.

Really? I'd say he had very good first season there. He went almost PPG this year, 35+ goal pace. More productive than his last few seasons in Columbus.

Agreed, a bit of a slow start, but finished well. There hasn't been much production from the rest of their top players though, Gabs and Richards, well, should've done better.

With a new bench boss, i feel the rags will be better. On paper they have a good team, elite tender, great young blueline, snipers/power forwards/play makers in their top 6, no reason why they shouldn't do better next season.
