jedimaas
So does Tinordi make it on the starting roster for the year? I guess time will tell if we make any more blue-line moves but if the season opened tomorrow, you'd have to figure he was a shoo-in for top 6 duties. kinot-1
I like this picture, it's very soothing. I like it because it's Grabs, that he's knocking down. BTW,, I wonder if CRB knows something that we don't. Namely,,, Tinordi is listed here in the "Players and Personnel" instead of " In The System". KeepsItReal
That would be my guess, jed, although he might put in some games in Hamilton, to start the season. Were it not for the Emelin injury I'd probably agree. But unless a big move comes on defence, I'd be shocked if JT wasn't in the line up opening night. Hopefully he spends the Summer doing some serious work on his lower body/core strength, upper body will come in time. I'd like to see him stronger on his feet this year though. Not that he was weak, just something he can work on in my eyes.

Rocket-1
Theres no doubt in my mind that he's going to stay with the habs all year, i could be wrong but i highly doubt it. I'm very happy with his progression and i'm pretty sure the coach feel the same way as i do.
kalevine
he will be there from day 1. The defence simply doesn't have enough bodies, let alone big bodies, to handle the opposition, without him
FirstStar
he will be there from day 1. The defence simply doesn't have enough bodies, let alone big bodies, to handle the opposition, without him We actually have quite a few lower pairing guys. But I agree, i think he'll be in a habs uni come opening night. Unfortunately for him, Drewiskie will be spending this season (unless there are injuries on our blueline) with the dogs in the AHL. Beaulieu should start the season with the dogs, but expect him to come up if we run into injury problems or for some reason or another Tinordi is not adjusting well at the NHL level. Personally, I think Drewskie will be spending most of the season in the pressbox. Makes more sense to have him sitting there versus a prospect. With the habs being so high on Tinordi and beaulieu, I can see them with the habs and Drewiskie with the dogs. All depends on inuries and how our youngins do. I totally agree, Drewiskie will be with the team most of this season. A signing like that really doesn't make that much sense to use him in the AHL. Good cap hit for the 7th d-man in Montreal, and doesn't take ice time from young guys coming up in the ranks. Which Hamilton will have plenty of over the next couple of seasons. Plus it allows for the luxury of not having to be using a young guy in an unenviable situation like a 7th d-man. Like Weber was for the last few years, a huge waste for his development. Hopefully he gets a chance with Vancouver.
maddienmike
Just happened to look at the list of skaters, our big man is no longer on it.So it looks like he is not a lock after all, thats a pity. GO JARED GO
habby4ever
"We have what we have in terms of our cap, and it's something that is often tough to manage," Bergevin said. "Would I like a big, tough defenseman who can play 25 minutes? Yes, I think every team wants that. But first of all you can't get them, and second of all you have to pay for them." Though Bergevin was unable to address his defensive depth, he did make an acquisition that could allow his team to keep more pucks out of its net and which doesn't count against the salary cap. Would this be Davis Drewiske? Promotion candidates: D Nathan Beaulieu, C Michael Bournival, C Gabriel Dumont, C Louis Leblanc, D Greg Pateryn, D Jarred Tinordi Because of Jarred Tinordi's size, He seems to be the number 1 candidate to start the season, depending on what he does at camp and/or preseason. He is also listed on the Habs site roster. Unless he has an injury, example, he had an eye injury, and he does fit the bill as a bigger player, IMO, he fits the bill? My guess is it affects his role in the team in the sense that his team for the season will be Hamilton instead of Montreal.
