East_Coast_Juggalo_13
I like this kid. He's a smaller guy, but a very competitive one. I think he's only going to get better. He has the potential to be a 30 point checking line centre easily. It's up to him how far he moves up.
jennifer_rocket
Could this mean Ryan White is finished with the Habs? I see he filed for salary arbitration the other day. Montreal could just walk away from whatever the arbitrator determines is fair for Ryan after the hearing. Dumont was already pushing for a spot on the fourth line last year. I think Dumont is a good call up to fill in but I'd rather have White.

FirstStar
I hope not. I think Dumont is a good call up to fill in but I'd rather have White. Agreed, I'd like to keep White around and have both of them competing for 4th line duties. Dumont had some good games last season, not very strong in the FO dot, but that can be worked on. White does have more experience and is grittier than dumont, i wouldn't sign white to a 4 year deal, but keep him around for a season or 2. The competition between him and dumont will only work in the habs favour.

Again though, it's up to him.

But he hardly struggled. That kind of number would make him Bergeron levels of elite on the draw if he could ever maintain it.

But that's something the coaching staff in hamilton and Montreal can work on. it was a sample size and the draws he won, weren't against dominant opponents. ideally i'd like to have Stoll taking draws for us in Montreal, but that isn't going to happen. We brought in Halpern to help us on draws.

Either way though 63% is everything you could ever ask for. Yeah it's a small sample size but I would actually say the complete opposite of "not very strong" if giving an assessment on him as a rookie when it comes to faceoffs in the NHL. Guest
From my understanding,,,,he needs to clear waivers to be assigned to the Dogs. The RDS guys seemed to be concerned he wouldn't. Guess we'll see.

FirstStar
I wouldn't lose sleep if we lost him on waivers. He's a small grinder, dime a dozen in the NHL. It's not like we'd be losing a prospect like Thomas, McCarron, colberg, etc...
THEBIGGESTHABSFAN123
He's 22, so I still consider him a prospect.
jennifer_rocket
I fully expect that he will clear and be assigned to Hamilton. FirstStar is right though, he's just a bottom six forward... Losing these types of players happens all the time.
Werzoth
From RDS: "Retranché au camp du CH jeudi, l'attaquant Gabriel Dumont n'a pas été réclamé au ballottage. Il peut donc joindre les autres au camp des Bulldogs." In english, he cleared the waivers and will be in Hamilton.

BigTed3
Playing tonight With a few guys returning soon, he may not get a very long look, but he's a guy who's starting to fall down the depth chart so he's got to make the most of whatever opportunity he's got. Expect him to hit everything that moves tonight.

js2
Returned to the Bulldogs... oh well, he didn't impress. he is a ghost of what he was last year. at least to me He hasn't been his usual self this season even in Hamilton. In Hamilton he's been taking all kinds of bad penalties, not battling as much for the puck, and just making bad decisions on a regular basis. I was surprised when they announced they called him up over some of the other guys.
