And he'll have good teammates and a good coach as well. I'll keep an eye on him, as most of the Knights home games are on the local TV station. . Also, the team does some meet and greets around town, as well as autograph signings.

kinot-1
From the local paper: "Michael McCarron has made it official. He will play with the defending Ontario Hockey League champion London Knights. McCarron chose the Knights over the NCAA Western Michigan Broncos as reported Tuesday by the London Free Press. McCarron is a late first-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens from last month’s National Hockey League draft. He’s a big man who stands 6’ 5”, 228 pounds. It was the Canadiens who made the announcement on where McCarron was going to play after a Wednesday night conference call with the family. McCarron and the Canadiens agreed to a three-year entry level contract. “He’s a piece of the puzzle,” said Knights’ general manage Mark Hunter. “He’s only going to get better. It’s exciting to think what he’ll be like next year when we’ve had him here for a year.” “I really wanted to get him but I couldn’t,” Hunter said. “I watched the kid for three years before the draft. Where are you going to get a kid that big that can skate and handle the puck?” McCarron is also a physical player who can handle himself although in a recent interview he says fighting is not something he wants to be known for. McCarron would be a tough guy to move from in front of the net especially on a power play."

Six of his goals were scored on the powerplay and he tallied two winning goals. He led his team with 180 penalty minutes and maintained a +6 plus/minus differential. The 6-foot-5, 237-pound right winger added five points (3 goals, 2 assists) in seven contests with Team USA at the 2013 IIHF U18 World Championship held last April in Sochi, Russia." KeepsItReal
My guess is that at this time next year we're all beyond excited about what McCarron might be able to bring this team over the next 7-15 years (in 3-5 years or so).
