jennifer_rocket
Does the lack of Tinordi's inclusion on this roster indicate he will be starting the year in Hamilton? TBH, it's probably for the best. He can work his way into the line-up when someone from Montreal gets injured. I'd be surprised if between Subban, Gorges, Markov, Diaz, Emelin, Murray, Bouillon, and Drewskie we didn't already have our starting defenders. I know some of them are injured, but I think it's better for Tinordi to go play big minutes in Hamilton.
Guest
I wouldn't want to keep him as the 7th guy sitting in the press box, but honestly IMO, he's worked himself into that top 6 for now. I think the spot is his to lose until at least Emelin is back.

I think the spot is his to lose until at least Emelin is back. But who has lost the spot? Certainly P.K. Subban, Josh Gorges, Andrei Markov, and Raphael Diaz are starting for us next week. Then we have to consider if Tinordi's limited exposure to the NHL level to date is enough to supplant Bouillon, Murray, or Drewskie? That is, before Emelin's return. Do we really want Tinordi playing sheltered minutes at the NHL level right now? I'd be a much bigger fan of him getting 20+ minutes a night in Hamilton and being the first guy called up when required. We had better win this game, with the line-we are icing. Don't sweat it. The real games start next week!

I don't really see Tinordi as being ahead of him on the depth chart. And Nygren's got that right-handed shot.
HabsRuleForever
The Montreal Canadiens announced Thursday that eight players have been released from training camp, with forwards Michael Blunden, Martin St-Pierre, Christian Thomas, Nick Tarnasky and Patrick Holland and defencemen Magnus Nygren, Darren Dietz and Greg Pateryn assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs. There are still 27 players at camp (15 forwards, 10 defensemen, 2 goaltenders), including Alexei Emelin, Douglas Murray, George Parros and Davis Drewiske who are sidelined due to injuries. The Canadiens play their last preseason game on Thursday night at the Bell Centre against the Ottawa Senators.

If MB is really serious about one of those kids getting the ice this year then i seriously feel somebody will get traded ASAP

JR did you ever check out the last page of this thread? http://fans.canadiens.nhl.com/community/topic/26401-happy-bithday-habs-fans/ Whoa, I didn't even realize there was a birthday thread. That's nice! it only means he played 6 games in 10 days and seeing him once more tonight wouldn't add anything to the evaluation the team is making That's definitely true. Don't want to burn the kid out.

Until or if Tinordi falters,,, Drewskie is the man out in my books This is my opinion too. I know we've only seen the preseason but so far Tinordi's looked better than Murray and Bouillion. I'd like to see him stick on the 3rd pairing. We only signed Drewiskie for that reason anyway, he's a warm body that's OK with taking 650k to sit in the pressbox. The coaching staff won't have him penciled in as a regular.
kinot-1
From TSN: The Ottawa Senators will take to the ice against the Montreal Canadiens Thursday night without Captain Jason Spezza. The 30-year-old centre is taking a cautious approach to an injury he described as a strain, without disclosing the location of the injury.
FirstStar
Hope i can catch tonights game, it'll all depend on my work schedule. I'm suppose to be here until about 9, but with me missing all of last week, I'm a tad backed up.
hatethosebruins
I have a feeling were sitting Tinordi because we want to see more from beaulieu before he inevitably gets sent down. I think once Drewiske returns from injury, he will be waived in order to keep Tinordi on the roster while murray/bouillion alternate in and out of the lineup until emelin returns. Then things will get interesting. Until Emelin is back I predict we will have Gorges-Subban Markov-Tinordi Diaz-Murray/Bouillion Then Gorges-Subban Markov-Emelin Diaz-Tinordi Murray/Bouillion

He's played every pre-season game since it started, not to forget all the scrimmages as well. The kid must be so exhausted.
kinot-1
IMO, Beaulieu, is playing tonight, so MB and MT can have another look at him before they make a decision on whether to keep him or Tinordi.
FirstStar
IMO, Beaulieu, is playing tonight, so MB and MT can have another look at him before they make a decision on whether to keep him or Tinordi. i think it's pretty much settled that Tinordi is staying with the habs over beaulieu. i think they're just giving him a chance to show his stuff since he missed 90% of the pre-season action. Even if he comes up with a big game, i don't think it'll change MT's mind, have a feeling he's sticking with Tinordi. Seriously, he played in every pre-season game except tonights. Flying_Lion
Almost time. These 7:30 games are awful. I swear that 30 minutes always feels about four times longer than it is. Is it true some of the Sens big guns are sitting? Bummer if true, I was hoping to see a match-up of near-to-final regular season players.
