Les Canadiens at Senators
Here’s how we can expect to see the Canadiens’ lineup
Pacioretty-Plekanec-Gionta
Galchenyuk-Eller-Gallagher
Bournival-Desharnais-Bourque
Moen-White-Parros
Markov-Subban
Diaz-Gorges
Murray-Bouillon
Price
Budaj
The Canadiens 1st line of Michael Bournival playing
left wing with Tomas Plekanec and Brian Gionta is no longer
. They had been a successful line in recent games and were a threat in
every situation. The Canadiens’ powerplay remains one of
the best in the league at 4th overall firing at 23.7%. The penalty kill
is a respectable 5th over all in the league shutting down the
opposition’s powerplay 86.2% of the time. PK Subban still leads
the Habs with 15 points (3G, 12A) in 16 games and is +2.
Carey Price is confirmed to start in net and has been solid
for the team with 1 shutout, a 2.16 GAA and a .933 save
percentage over 13 games. Alex Galchenyuk is back with
the kid line. Daniel Briere will make the trip and practice
with his teammates Travis Moen is back. Go Habs Go.
Here’s how we can expect to see the Senators lineup
MacArthur - Turris - Ryan
Greening - Spezza - Zibanejad
Michalek - Smith - Neil
Kassian - Grant - Conacher
Cowen - Karlsson
Borowiecki - Methot
Gryba - Phillips
Lehner
Lawson
Memories of last years playoffs against the Senators may spur Habs
onward to victory, against a Senator team that finds it hard to stay positive,
when your team lately, has been struggling so badly, 1 win in last 6 games.
Also, Goalie Craig Anderson is day to day with a stiff neck. His return is "depending
on level of comfort" Ottawa Senators goalie Craig Anderson was stretchered off the
ice during overtime of Sunday's game against the Dallas Stars after a collision
with Valeri Nichushkin. Robin Lehner will serve as Ottawa's number one goaltender,
while Craig Anderson is on the shelf with a neck injury. He has a 1-2-2 record but
he's played well for the Senators this season. "I want to win, but right now it's not
happening for us," Lehner said. "You've got to focus on the process and the results
will come." Lehner has stopped 197 of the 209 shots he's faced for an excellent
.943 save percentage. He should get the nod against Montreal on Thursday night.
Bon Match!!!!

Patching up the Habs
Quote on Gameday: The centerman probably has more responsibilities than anyone else on the ice,
except the goalie,” insisted Eller, who has five goals and four assists so far in 2013-14.
“You’re a big part of the offence and the defence. Sometimes it takes quite a bit
of experience to be successful. Reading the play, setting up your linemates,
playing within the system; anticipating where everyone is going to go. It’s read and react.”

Don't know what to think about tonight's game.

They don't have anderson between the pipes, but we haven't done well against back ups either.

Shouldn't be an overly gritty game, maybe we can use our skill to our advantage. Got to keep an eye on Ryan, he's very dangerous around the net.

Be nice if Patches could get going again.

The only silver lining with all these losses, apart from the colorado and Calgary games, they've been one goal games.

So we're keeping it close, few lucky bounces and we could've won those close games.

I have a feeling tonight will be "chippy". I don't know if that's the correct word to use but that's what comes to mind.

Synonyms:

aggressive, agonistic, argumentative, assaultive, bellicose, brawly, chippy, combative, confrontational, contentious, discordant, disputatious, feisty, gladiatorial, militant, pugnacious, quarrelsome, scrappy, truculent, warlike

Pick one beaubie.

ALL of them haha

But especially "gladiatorial" I've never heard that one before. Or "disputatious" .
