Penguins at Les Canadiens
Pittsburgh Lose Shootout to Habs 02/07/12.

Here’s how we can expect to see the Habs lineup
Galchenyuk – Eller – Prust
Pacioretty – Desharnais – Gallagher
Briere–Plekanec – Gionta
Moen– White– Bournival
Markov – Subban
Gorges – Emelin
Murray/Bouillon – Diaz
Price Starting
Budaj
Scratches: Drewiske, Bourque, Parros, Murray

Lighting The Lamp: Habs Challenge:
This season, the top three teams in each division qualify for the playoffs and the final two spots
go to the next two teams with the most points. That means a division can’t have more than five teams in
the playoffs. “It’s still early, but that’s somewhere we have to be aware of,” said captain Brian Gionta.
“Those conference games are even more important, ”Every team faces adversity at some point
during the regular season, and for the Canadiens that time is now. Uncharted Territory:
facing a Penguins offense that have a scoring first: win percentage of .923, second
in the league . Penguins are 25th in the league in PIM/G at 9.82 while the habs are 7th at 12.6.
We have some solid ground on PP (3rd) and PK (9th)
versus the Penguins at PP (7th) and Pk (4th). Will be interesting :)

Here’s how we can expect to see the Penguins lineup
Kunitz-Crosby-Bennett
Dupuis-Malkin-Neal
Jokinent-Sutter-Gibbons
Glass-Vitale-Adams
Martin-Orpik
Engelland-Letang
Maatta-Niskanen
Fleury (starting)
Zatkoff
Scratches: Kobasew, Vokoun, Scuderi, D'agostini
Lighting The Lamp: Flightless Birds:
Crosby may be the architect of disorientation, dizzying rivals with his puck-handling
legerdemain and skating brilliance. But, as a member of the Brotherhood of the Dazed
-- having missed virtually an entire year with concussion symptoms --
he knows what it's like to be under medical house arrest for weeks and months at a time.
If mental telepathy -- envisioning a play and teammates' positioning before they happen
-- is the same as a clear head, then Crosby is as healthy as ever. These days, Crosby said,
"I feel good." He will enter the game leading in points with (12 goals, 18 assists).
Bon Match!!!!

Is Bournival going to be able to play after blocking that shot last night?

Didn't you see CRB's post before yours? That's all we know.

Great GDT Habby!

This is going to be a tough one. Yesterday we had to shut down Ovi's line, but there wasn't much after him. Tonight there's the Crosby and Malkin lines. Price better be at his best, and I think he will be.

Yep. Whichever top 3 line isn't matched up with one of those two will have to produce. We'll see how our depth does tonight.

Also have to imagine that folks will be focusing on Subban vs Letang matchup tonight too. As if its even a question.

We beat the Caps by the skin of our teeth last night. Came out strong in the first, but played on heels through the final 40 mins.

If we want to beat the pens tonight, we're going to need everybody to play a full 60 mins.

No more counting on our tenders to bail us out.

I wouldn't be surprised for the fourth line to be given tough matchups either. They had a couple shifts against Ovi last night IIRC but I'm not sure if that was in the middle of a line change or not. If Bournival's out, that'll hurt though.

Letang will probably leave sometime in the 3rd with an injury.

That's one thing that's pretty impressive with Subban, despite logging healthy minutes and often being a target for the other team, he hasn't missed very many games. Don't think he's ever missed due to injury, only missed while he was still discussing his contract.

Subban is a beast, plays huge minutes, extremely athletic, very strong (physically) and is durable. He's also very smart and aware of what's happening on the ice. I've never ever seen go blindly into the corners chasing the puck, he'll always take a look back. One, to see who may want to check him and two, see where his teammates are in case he needs to pass the puck to get it out.

Very smart player.
