7:00 est. TSN, RDS, MSG, Radio 690

The red-hot Montreal Canadiens made the New Jersey Devils their latest victims. They'll try for a repeat performance as the teams close out a home-and-home series in Newark on Wednesday night.
Montreal (16-9-3) is 6-0-1 in its past seven games after a 3-2 victory Monday. Alex Galchenyuk, Rene Bourque and Max Pacioretty scored for the Canadiens, while defenseman P.K. Subban recorded his team-leading 20th assist, had five blocked shots and made two dramatic goal-line saves. Montreal has allowed two or fewer goals in 10 of its last 11 games, and its season total of 59 is third lowest in the NHL. Center David Desharnais also continued to produce with two assists Monday, giving him two goals and six assists in his past seven games after he managed one assist in his first 19.
The Devils are 2-4 in their last six games. The Devils are currently missing Ryane Clowe, Stephen Gionta, Adam Larsson and Bryce Salvador. Ryan Carter and Adam Henrique are also hurting, but might play on Wednesday.
Last 10: Montreal 7-1-2; New Jersey 5-5-0
Peter Budaj is expected to start,
Cory Schneider will be in goal for the Devils
More game-day notes will be posted
as they come in.

Very nice GDT Kinot. In 12 starts Schneider has a gaa of 1.72 and a sv% of .927 so hopefully we can pepper him with shots early and keep up the offensive momentum. It's going to be a tough back-to-back for our boys so hopefully they dont save too much for tomorrow night against the B's. Hope to see a lot of dancing giraffes and bananas tonight! Go Habs Go!

Facing Schneider for the first time ever.

That's actually a scary thought. Usually when we face a new tender, we lose. Also devils will be looking to get back the 2 points that Carey stole last game.

Can't start this game the same way they started the last against the devils-They might not be so lucky.

Get through this game, then we can start thinking about facing the b's.

Where are the leafs?

They've kind of disappeared.

Oh there they are, right behind the stamkos-less bolts. Must be why I'm not hearing much from leaf fans these days.

Could have been in the morning skate, but that's what TSN radio reported, that he is injured.

I seem to remember one of the trainers rubbing his(Bourque's) lower back during Monday's game after he took a good hit. Great GDT Kinot!

According to TSN690, it's after the hit from Green(e), he left for the dressing room. He did look a little rattled after the hit. He came back, finished the game but were suggesting it has to do with the hit against the devils.

Not surprised, been having troubles staying healthy in a habs uniform.

Nice GDT thread.

Surprised they have Carter as a "maybe" for tonight's game. Saw the punch he took and he was definitely shaken. More surprised if he didn't suffer a concussion.

Is Murray injured from the fight with Scott?

Not that I know of. He played on Mon., so I would suppose it's a coaches decision. Boullion is faster of skates, and can play the PP, if needed. Murray might play against the ruins tomorrow, because they are bigger,,,,,but that's just my opinion.
