kinot-1
MOVIN RIGHT ALONG FROM LAST WEEK THE PHOENIX DESERT DOGS VISIT THE CENTRE BELL TO PLAY AGAINST OUR MONTREAL CANADIENS HERE'S THE SCOOP OR SCOPE Phoenix lost for the third time in its last five games, Saturday, 3-1 to Carolina. The Coyotes had earned points in three straight games. Mired in something of a mini-slump, the Montreal Canadiens could use a game against a franchise they have thoroughly dominated for more than 20 years. The weary Canadiens, losers of three of four, will look to extend their winning streak against Phoenix to nine games when they host the Coyotes on Tuesday night. Montreal has been outshot in six of its past eight games and has scored 14 goals in that span. A big problem is a power play being anything but, snapping an 0-for-16 drought over a seven-game stretch when Alex Galchenyuk scored Montreal’s lone goal in the third period of a 2-1 loss at home to the Florida Panthers on Sunday. The Canadiens have scored 86 goals, but 26 have come on the power play (30.2 percent). So when the power play goes cold, the team is likely to follow. Who’s hot: For the Coyotes, Montreal native and former Canadien Mike Ribeiro has nine points in seven games, and forwards Rob Kilnkhammer and Mikkel Boedker each had two goals in a 6-3 win against the Islanders on Thursday … For the Canadiens, Galchenyuk has three goals in five games for the natural hat-trick. Id be fine with just #3. providing he is healthy, having bourque back is very good news as it makes that last top 9 spot better, no matter how MT sets up the lines. Bourque back in. White out. THEBIGGESTHABSFAN123
I wouldn't mind trading Briere and going with Bournival - Eller - Bourque
vegasrick
Finally, the Habs get to play a winning team. I'm expecting lots of goals. Many bananas. Meanwhile, the Prunes are playing Calgary. I'll bet they don't stink it up against a bottom-dweller.

jedimaas
I wouldn't mind trading Briere and going with Bournival - Eller - Bourque I suspect that may happen as the game moves forward. As Ive said before, Im not the biggest Briere fan in the world but we have him, we're paying him, it seems silly to keep hiding him for 1/2 the game. He's not a defensive liability and on a team struggling to score, giving minutes to a career scorer, albeit less effective now, would make sense. habs_93
Their finances wont hurt us in this game, the way they play is a different story Well, if they were in a city that noticed they existed, the cap would be higher and we might've been able to sign someone other than Briere. Slightly tenuous… but I'm going with it.
