8 Days ago, the Habs ventured into the Panthers' arena and got spanked 4-1,

with Brandan Prust providing the only Habs goal.

We also lost to the Cats on Dec. 15th at home 2-1. Now the Cats are coming into our barn again.

These losses to the bottom feeders have to stop.

It's a new year, and we began it with a win and a tie,,,,,

and now is the time to stop playing sloppy hockey.

We can't take these Panthers lightly,

as they are 6-3-1 in their last 10 games

even tho they have a goal differential of -33.

Their top goal scorer has 11 goals, their top point getter, has 21 points.

We all know how our players are doing

so I don't have to tell you.

Their PP is the worst in the league at 10.7%,

and their PK is at 74.6%.

Who's Hot

For Florida, 18-year-old rookie forward Aleksander Barkov now leads the team with 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists).

thanks to a current five-game point streak (one goal, five assists).

Montreal defenseman P.K. Subban (two goals, four assists) and forward Max Pacioretty (four goals, two assists) totaled six points each over their past three games.

More to come later as line-ups are not available at this time.

kinot-1's GDT record 11-3-1

I've never wanted to beat the Cats so much as this.

Your GDT record is amazing kinot, lets pump those numbers and lets continue to improve my game attendance numbers at the same time :D

Yes his record is great. Probably because he's one of the few people still making them. All the others left cause they can't compete with it.

Thanks CRB, It's just good luck, and remember,,,no peeking at the GDT during the game. Remember we outscored them 2-1 when you weren't online last game. :) . Not that we don't want you here, but,,,,,,

Yup, the record is pretty good, but, others could have that too. I'd like to know what habby's GDT record is.

Canadiens coach Michel Therrien announced after the morning skate that there will be no changes to the lineup that faced the Senators on Saturday night. The coach also said that Ryan White could be sidelined for two weeks with an upper-body injury.

I'll go out on a limb here and say that I'd be surprised if we lose to the Panthers tonight. I think this team has learned not to take Florida lightly, and while I'm not sure our D will look that great, I think our offence will be fired up in high gear tonight. I'm calling a Habs win with at least 4 goals scored and quite possibly some free chicken wings!

Duly noted Ted, you will be held to accounts if they lose. :P

Can we please put Markov and Subban back together?

and for the love of all that is holy why is Diaz scratched again

I don't know if we can afford to put Subban and Markov back together, especially with Diaz out. We just get bottled in too often when the other pairings are on and can't move the puck.

As for why Diaz isn't playing, who knows... I guess Therrien really wants to keep Murray and Bouillon together. It's his version of Bouwmeester-Pietrangelo, since they have chemistry!

Markov-Subban

Gorges-Diaz

Emelin on the third til he finds his groove. Seems simple to me.
