Sweet looking thread, CRB! I like it.

As for the game, here's our chance to prove that we can still get something done against a team that's not dead tired and is going to come to play. The good news is that our emotion level should be high as well. Should be fun, as always!

TSN and HIO reporting Budaj will get the start tonight. Strange,,,,,, although he has a 3-0 record at Boston’s TD Garden with a 1.67 GAA.

Yes, twitter just about exploded following that announcement. I have no problem with playing Budaj tonight and Carey at home this weekend in front of people who payed to see him in nets, not the backup.carey cant play them all. Also, with the recent slump, i'm not sure that the initially planned goalie 'rotation' was followed.

Other than the goalie change, the lineup will be the same as last game.

I expected Budaj to get one of the back to back games this weekend. Are you thinking Price will now play both weekend games?

I would have thought Price gets tonight and Sunday with Budaj getting the Saturday start.

I'm guessing MT is playing Budaj on a feeling, based on his record in Boston. Hope it doesn't backfire.

I truly don't get the logic behind sitting Carey vs a tough division rival to start him on the 2nd game of back to backs against a Western Conference team. I think it's a case of over thinking on some level. Start our best goalie vs the 2 division/conference rivals and start Budaj on the 2nd of b2bs against the non-conference opponent. Avoids Carey having to play b2bs and starts him in the 2 biggest games of the 3. Very confused.

I found the logic behind it strange myself. The only reason i see is that he's playing a hunch based on Budaj's record in Boston. Flawed IMO.

Carey's been strong in his career against Boston. I just don't see the logic here.

I was quite shocked hearing Budaj is playing tonight. But I'm actually really excited. I actually think it was a great choice. I never actually thought Therrien would have the guts to do it because he hasn't been the smartest cookie lately, but it's definitely interesting and not something I'm against. Budaj deserves to play more because he's earned it. This is his time to show Therrien what he's capable of, but regardless of how flawless Budaj plays, Therrien still wont care how good he truly is by rewarding him. All he cares about is making Price the star. I have nothing against Price, but we have two amazing goalies that are both capable of playing any team. We're taking our situation for granted and I believe Budaj will have a great game. He's great under pressure and that can't be said for many goalies. Looking forward to tonight's game!

Price Should be starting especially with how Boston`s been playing of late, Hopefully we don't get killed tonight, We`ll See I guess

I know we have 2 Outstanding Goalies, But I`de rather Budaj against Jets, but he is 3 - 0 in Boston so

Great GDT CRB!!

I have no issues with Budaj, he's the least of our worries.

Bruins are a good defensive team, they create chances by forcing turnovers and boxing out teams.

If we're as sloppy tonight as we've been since December, our chances aren't very good.

Wondering when our coaching staff is going to pick up on the fact that the system we have in place is not working.

We're constantly being outshot and that has nothing to do with the other team playing well. They're simply taking advantage of our sloppy play and it's ending up in our net.

Even though we seem to have the bruins number over the last few seasons, I have to say I'm concerned.

If we play like we did against the hawks, we can win.

If we play like we did against the caps, wings and pens (basically the last 3 games) the b's are going to make us pay.

I'm sure Budaj will do his best, he'll be fine. The problem will be the rest of the team. I predict the Bruins will skate circles around the Habs, take a big lead and turn it into a big win. I hope everyone enjoyed that last 3-0 win, 'cuz we aren't going to see another one of those for a while.

Let the meltdown commence......

6-1 Bruins

.....and still, nothing will change because they just won a game a couple of days ago.

hey rick, do you have crushed prunes in stock to post with the dancing bananas tonight? :D

No, just the evil prunes you made. And I might add, you're being rather optimistic, expecting to see dancing bananas. Habs have to score before I break those out, you know.

It's not so much the fact that Budaj get's the nod in net tonight but more the fact that your #1 is coming off a shutout game with adequate rest between games. That's the odd part of the decision. I have no doubt Budaj would have gotten a start this weekend. Mt is really leaving himself open for criticism should Budaj not have a stellar start tonight.
