So when people talk at the end of the season about how many penalties Subban gets compared to how many he draws, just remember the call made against him today and the automatic 4-minute high stick he should have drawn last night that Marchand only got two minutes for. It sums up how refs treat him pretty well.

I've said it before, and I think it's relevant to your point here: I can't take the PPs drawn-to-received ratio (either for players or teams) particularly seriously when there's clearly a nonuniform distribution of non-calls and no comprehensive way to quantify them.
