i think i've quit somewhat. meaning i'm not quite even a fan as far as i can tell. of the league perhaps. yes it was a hit to the head and i don't see anything about suspension.

its still early and maybe my menagerie is on some other plane.

Final home game of the post-season. Mark my words - not going to be a Game 7.

Either Habs go out tonight or Thursday night.

If the players got any pride, they'll go all out to salvage something to please their fans one final time this post-season. Then they can take a bow on Thursday. But I'm not hopeful.

On the flip side, if we win tonight and do manage to prove you wrong & win game 6 (which will be the toughest game of the series imho) then I think we have a very very good chance in game 7.

I think we win this one... maybe even handily. Game 6 im not so hopeful for but tonight, one game at a time, i think we can do it. Maybe the guys can draw inspiration from Price practicing today.

Took my Vanek sig & burned it with FIRE ;)

Hopfully the new one will give us some red hot luck (went with moar of a "team" type sig)..... looking at 2nites refs/Zebras , I don't think we will be on the Power Play much ( LOL & that might be a good thing)

I just want FULL OUT leave your guts on the ice hockey.. NO FLOATERS , NO "just go out & have fun" stuff... its the ECF ! (& do or go golf , & for 3 games !)

ALL hands on deck ! (firing puckS in THEIR net)

GO HABS GO !!!

Cute GDT CRB, the Habs gloves are a cute touch.

I don't believe it's over. I think the boys are really going to come out to play and Tokar will get a _________. I'm not saying it out loud, not jinxing it. But you can fill in the blank :). GO HABS GO! Oh hockey Gods please be with the boys tonight and for the entire run to the cup .

So, who is gonna pick this team up by the jock strap and drag them into game 6?

GO HABS GO!!!!!

I have a feeling it will be SUBBY and Tokar.

Oh and I think Briere will deliver too....maybe even Bourque .

OMG Archey...I think you hit your head. Your not talking right...your feelings will pass.

You should be directed to the negative thread . ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!!! I'm hoping the boys ride on the Rangers over confidence....they absolutely think they have it in the bag. That's possibly their weakness.

I like our chances tonight. We have nothing to lose, and (I feel) that our veterans will step up, and lead us to a win.

AGREED!!!

I thinking Subban too but geez, why do we always need to count on him when we have so much more?

AGREED WITH ALL OF THIS! Game 6 will be the toughest. But if we can win that game...ohh my game 7 is highly likely ours.

I don't know..but he's the one with all of the passion when things get real rough and we're in a hole.

Full equipment. Just with Waite & the trainer I believe (not with the team) but still this is huge news if we can extend & somehow hopefully win this series.

Hopefully the boys use this as inspiration.

Good call on changing the sig. The Hockey Gods should like that one. It's lovely, well done!

You never know. You changing your sig might make Vanek real mad and fire him up tonight and for all of the rest of the games ;).

You haven't been hard on him. He deserved it. He was been far too sluggish and not playing to his full potential. I am not a believer in him being injured..but maybe that's just me.

Here's the scary thing: even if the boys come out flying, all it takes is 5-10 minutes of a brick wall called Lundquist and they will frustrate themselves into playing soft pylon hockey for the next 50 minutes, resulting in the Rangers taking care of business. Anything less than a blowout in this game and they're cooked. They have no confidence, and guys like Vanek don't care either way. In fact, I would bet he's already reserved tee times and doesn't want to travel any more this season. :(

Predictions for tonight:

1. Habs still won't know what to do with the puck when they do have it. The "system" looks totally lost, and something that bad can't be fixed over the day off between playoff games.

2. Ditto for the Powerless Play. Far from being a vital weapon, it again has morphed into a game-deciding disadvantage where the shorthanded team becomes more of a threat than when they're at even-strength. This mind-boggling reality defies explanation, but again, it's something that is not likely to be "fixed" in one day off.

3. Habs will continue to display their inability to finish, which by now should have its own patent pending. Even if they come out flying, when they don't convert on several golden opportunities, they will revert to their fragile mental state of knowing there's lots of things wrong but not being able to do anything about them "on the fly," which will lead to goals against and, inevitably, that hopeless feeling of finally being eliminated.

I hope I'm wrong, because I'd much rather see my team terrorize their opponent in an absolute and total rout. But reality tells me that's just too much to hope for.

I think we may just see them shaking hands at center ice tonight.
