2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs - Final

Recommended Posts

Yup only Habs fan rooting for the Rangers. If only the Kings didn't win the cup so recently and if I didn't hate Quick so much.

Wow Britney Spears really let herself go....

If tha rags hadn't gotten to the finals by taking out Price, then I may have taken the rags over the kings.

Not a fan of quick either. Very pretentious, arrogant, wanna-be-gangsta (who grew up in the burbs). He's in the perfect city, people of LA are use to pretentious and arrogant movies stars and other celebraties. He fits right in.

But since the rags (kreider), did what they did, I hope the kings completely destroy the rags.

I wonder how hard the NHL worked to make sure two of the biggest cities played each other in the cup final.

See, people will say "oh, that's crazy", but I could spend the rest of the night linking to articles from newspapers/magazines and segments from sports shows from the conference finals talking about how "if the NHL was smart, it would make sure Los Angeles and New York went to the cup final, because the American market doesn't care about Canadian teams".

I'm not saying the NHL fixed the playoffs to guarantee this cup final, but they're certainly not unhappy about it.

At least it's 2 teams with good fan bases.

I was actually surprised to see how many genuine hockey fans they have in LA (California even). Remember, not everyone who lives in LA/Cali, were born there. So many people come from around the country and even Canada.

There's even a Canadian living in LA who has a bar dedicated to the leafs or Habs. Some of the big celebrities are diehard fans. Alissa Milano has been a kings fan since the 80's.

And NY, original 6. Probably the most popular original 6, states side team.

I see where you're coming from, but I chose not to be a sour apple. I'm not going to allow what Kreider did change how I feel about the Rangers as a whole. I've always respected the Rangers and it would be nice to see the underdogs win. It's been a long time coming.

Omg, finally someone agrees with me. Too many people love Quick as a person and I just don't get it. He's so arrogant, rude, has a horrible attitude and thinks he's all Hollywood. Wanna be gangsta haha that's the funniest thing I've ever heard. I wonder what you have to say about Patrick Kane....

Yeah, that's the one!

Too bad I didn't know of it last time I was in LA. Regardless, I may not have been anywhere close to it. For those who have never been, LA is enormous, ridiculously large and populated. Always made me wonder how they couldn't keep an NHL franchise.

Ya I know all of these things and I'm not questioning the fans at all. I'm well aware how passionate they are, it's the guy's running things that I'm questioning.

I respect them for being an original 6 and for their fan base.

But it's not just Kreider, before him was Avery, messier, Samuelson, etc...

Despite their "Captain America" persona, they've had their share of dirty, irritable players over the years.

Speak of the devil... Ding!

Kings PP. :)

Everything you're saying is true, but I'm sticking to my guns. I know which team sickens me and which one doesn't. It doesn't help that Vigneault is my favourite coach, it is what it is :P There's more positives for me then negatives.

So, because the ref made a legitimate high stick call that would be absolutely automatic in any instance of any hockey game in the world, the Rangers start acting like frustrated children—and are rewarded for it.

This is why NHL officiating is impossible to take seriously. It's completely reasonable to think that there's no unifying element to explain why it's so terrible. But it certainly is, for whatever reason, terrible.

You're Allowed to cheer for the rags. :)

Kings are the less of 2 evils for me.

I'm usually an underdog supporter.

Wanted the ducks or the wild to make it from the east.
