That might only because we have Carey Price allowed only two more goals on the road. But we both know that's going to come back to haunt us if it doesn't improve.

Fixed it for ya! :D

Disappointingly, we'll probably only have four 20 goal scorers this season. Pacioretty, Plekanec, Galchenyuk, and Gallagher. I'm still a little shocked about how poor our offensive game has been overall. I thought Eller, Parenteau, and Sekac would be some of the guys challenging for 20 goals at the beginning of the year. That seem really, really impossible at this point.

Time for a new coach.

The favouritism Therrien shows to Eller and disdain he shows to Sekac is unbelievable.

To sit Sekac over Eller is wrong on all levels.

Seriously. Trade Eller, replace Therrien, and let's get going!

Welp, I think that's officially the first time I've ever seen those two words used together like that with respect to Michel Therrien :P

I completely agree with you about Sekac, though, although I completely disagree with you about Eller. In fact I see both of them as being in a very similar position - neither one has been doing a ton of scoring, but both have been hugely useful in other areas of the game. What's really weird to me is that on one hand Therrien seems to value both players - when they're in the lineup he has no issues putting either of them out in high-pressure defensive situations. Eller in particular is always the go-to defensive forward, while Sekac has also had a game or two where he's received a lot of ice-time with some offensive lines that have performed really well. But on the other hand, Therrien also seems to completely undervalue both players as they're the first ones to get shuffled down (or out of) the lineup.

I mean the young guys have been playing well, but are you really telling me that they're all better than Sekac has been? Is Malholtra?!

The major difference is that all of those players ahead of Eller get significantly more PP time. Eller's averaging 26 seconds of PP time a game, and much of that comes from about 3-4 games where he got 2 minutes. In most games, his PP ice time totals 4 seconds here, 8 seconds there, and so on (i.e. the last few seconds of a PP with no chance to score). The only other guy on that list without a ton of PP time is Weise, and most of his points came when he got the chance to play on the first line with Pacioretty. Speaking of which, you know who hasn't gotten 1st line time and a chance to play with Pacioretty? Eller. That's right.

Continued slow starts to games, getting outshot by a margin wide over the first two periods, something Therrien is ultimately responsibile for. The fact Bergevin will need to wait until after the season to find a viable option for the team. Eller's high sticking penalty which handed the KIngs a 6 on 4 opportunity which they capitilized on.

Eller's high stick was actually waist high. A long way from being high sticking.

... And Doughty ( who had been a non-factor for the Kings until that point), did a hell-of-a sales job that the refs bite as automatic  (if were a habs player there would have been an embellishment penalty of some kind)
