Guest
Early in the season but a huge two points. Four out of four with Lee at the helm. Who would have thought?
Guest habs1952
Absolutely unbelievable comeback! It's as if someone just turned on a switch, the team was on steroids for the 3rd period . This team has to play better off the blocks. Yes, it's better and more resilient than the past, but it takes so long for them to find their feet. When they put themselves in a hole so early, it just makes life so much tougher for themselves . The biggest takeaway for me is that this team doesn't give up easily now, compared to previous seasons. Even in a deep hole, they'll fight to climb out . Must be the youngsters effect! Thanks for clearing out the deadwood in offseason. Eller is increasingly becoming the weak link on the 3rd line. But as long as Bourque+Sekac shine at his expense, I really don't mind . 3 games in 4 nights is no easy task but yeah, they can't just float to start the game. It doesn't help either when your short-handed for 6 minutes in the first period.

My son-in-law was a Sens fan but I've converted him to the Habs. Took a while but he finally realized what side his bread was buttered on.

Semantics
What a third period -- 19 shots, and domination I've rarely seen for 20 minutes .... well not since the Washington first period last game. Hate to see what the third period Corsi stats were. I mean, the Flyers looked really rather sad. Pleks, Gallagher, Desharnais, Galchenyuk absolutely dominated the boards / puck possession. These four have their game going. Monster game from Markov. The "slow" Hab starts don't bother me nearly as much as some poor decision making early in games. Unneeded penalty taking (5 Fyler PP's), early poor pinches (not what of Weaver's forte's any day of the week .... when to pinch), blown own end coverage. If the team skips all that, the game will be 0-0 when they do get their feet untracked. Note: Emery was really hot early ... this game could have been 3-2 heading into the third. Eller's game remains spotty, and mostly it is poor decision making, including poor penalties. He'll come around though. He shouldn't keep tonight's game tape. I thought Tinordi was just fine tonight. Next up: Tampa. Habs may as well keep it up.
