HERE'S THE GOOD AND BAD.

Goaltender Jimmy Howard is eligible to return for the Red Wings on Tuesday night, but forward Johan Franzen's status is unclear for a visit to the Montreal Canadiens, who will seek their first 6-1-0 start in 36 seasons.
Montreal, off to its best start since going 5-0-1 in 2008-09, will try to win its first three home games for the first time since that same season while pulling off an even rarer feat.
The Wings have trouble scoring having scored 11 goals in their 5 games, but they also are stingy allowing only 8 goals in that time.

The Canadiens haven't won six of their first seven since going 6-0-1 in 1977-78 en route to the 21st of their 24 Stanley Cup titles. They went 6-0-4 to open the 1981-82 campaign but had three ties in the first six games.
While its power play is just 2 for 21, Detroit has killed off all 17 penalties after going 5-for-5 in Saturday's game. Montreal has gone 3 for 6 with a man advantage in the last two games and has allowed five power-play goals in 25 chances.
Micheal Bournival has been called up,
but line-ups have not been announced.

Injuries for Detroit:
Johann Franzen is on short term IR, while Pavel Datsyuk is a game day decision.
Injuries for the Habs: None that I could find. :)

PP for the Wings, is 9.5% while their Pk is 100%. We need to change that. <_<
Our PP is 15% :( , while our PK is at 80%.

Thanks, Kinot.

This Detroit team can skate. Plus, Datsyuk may be back from injury. Habs will be in for a tough one.

Question of the day (tomorrow): do we see Bournival, or maybe Weiss, or maybe both?

MT has a habit of not changing the lineup after a win, so i wouldn't count on seeing either.

Weise in, Sekac out.

Pacioretty-Desharnais-Gallagher

Galchenyuk-Plekanec-Parenteau

Bourque-Eller-Weise

Moen-Malhotra-Prust

Emelin-Subban

Markov-Gilbert

Tinordi-Weaver

Its fair enough - Weise needs some games and Sekac still has some aspects of the game to work on, but its still sad to see him sit, although Im sure he knew it was going to happen from time to time.

What does Bourny have to do to get a game in though??

Evening folks.

Big game tonight. Datsyk is back, Nyqvist and Zetter have been playing well.

Should be a lot of back and forth, little too no goonery, just skilled hockey.

Weise definitely did NOT like sitting out the Boston game ,I think he will have ALOT of hustle tonight .

Agreed.

He's a fast skater, I expect to see him moving his feet and flying around tonight.

I got a feeling Eller, Bourque, Weise line will get it going tonight.

They've been playing well, despite not having much to show.

Even on the subban goal, when he came flying out of the box, Eller sent subban the pass, then went to the net. Barrie blew a tire and the trailing dman covered Eller who went straight to the net, giving Pk a clear shot at the young tender.

RB looks good too, hustling, getting shots, using his size and applying himself. Last game they looked really dangerous.
