Flying_Lion
Another slow start, but otherwise possibly the best game so far. Gonchar looked pretty darn good to me! The slow starts are still infuriating, for sure, and need to be addressed, but the Team's push-back is second-to-none. Definitely the best game I've watched if not the best one they've played to date. I'm not crediting Gonchar with anything other than playing a simple, smart game. He wasn't the game-changer but I do think his presence helped, especially on the power play. 5-game streaks are always tough for this team. I can't help but wait for a shoe to drop against Philadelphia but, on the other hand, tonight gave me hope that maybe we've jumped the tracks towards a better all-around game. MergenTatara
man it took me wayyyy too long to figure out who the hell cakes is........ This!!!! . I wonder why people call him that? Is that his nickname in Czech? Anyway, a win against Boston is always something to savour ! But to be honest, it didn't look like happening at the end of 1st period . I don't think the team is out of the woods yet . Treat it as a one-off "Boston Special", since the players always come up with something special in this match-up. Next match against Broad Street Bullies will be a truer test. Forwards got to work on their finishing. Man, consider how many chances missed!!! Give credit to Boston for not playing Rask . It didn't break their jinx but their backup goalie actually gave them better odds against us. Goon of the Night - Adam McQuaid. On a rare night when Milan Lucic and Brad Marchand behaved themselves, McQuaid had to be the baboon and disgrace his own team ! Bloody thug! Finally, yes, I just knew MT had to pair Markov and Gonchar together . Couldn't resist it eh? 2 Russians together supposedly improves chemistry? Like with Emelin in the past? Shows MT is so passe.
