Therrien has completely stifled a fantastic and exciting young core and destroyed any chance this team had of legitimately competing. If he isn't fired this season, I doubt this core ever does anything at all.

Honestly, it's time for a shake up on D;

Allen - Gonchar (Size and skill combo + experience)
Emelin - Weaver (Shot blocking, physical shutdown pair)

Markov - Subban (Maybe playing lower in the lineup will get Subban going)

Sure I've never been in MT's corner but I'm looking at a hot goalie for Buffalo as the reason we lost these two.

We were outplayed for large chunks of last night with plenty of rust. There was more desperation tonight and we definitely were the better team but playing Allen - Weaver cost us 1 goal for sure. The D pairings are beyond explanation. The PP hasn't been fixed and yet every time we start a PP I see 51 out there. It's pretty demoralizing right now. I don't know what to suggest because Therrien won't be fired, I accept that but this is ugly.

I agree with you, last night a fluke goal cost us. Tonight we had many quality chances but Enroth was killing us.

I don't think Enroth was spectacular - it was more that we shot the puck right at him or missed the net entirely.

The guy made 41 saves. They don't even count the ones that hit the post. He was solid and IMO, the difference tonight.

Enroth was very good, and yes, we were the better team tonight. But the overriding problem is that we were playing Buffalo. We're supposed to be the better team, not one playing at the same level as a group of AHL-caliber players. I was happier with our level of play tonight, but when you look at the goals against, there were two from poor D zone marking and one that can be directly blamed on Therrien playing Allen-Weaver. Therrien has also failed to develop any kind of consistent threat on the PP. In fact, his team can't even get the puck into the O zone regularly. Much of that comes down to the coach insisting on going back to the DD line as his first wave, when they've struggled immensely in that role. His only adjustment his year has been to take his best player (Subban) of of the first wave in favor of a 40-year old newcomer. In the shoot-out, he opted for Plekanec as his fifth shooter in sudden death, when many better choices were available. There were just so many coaching errors in the past two games, as there have been all season, that the situation is in no way excusable for Marc Bergevin not to replace his coach immediately.

He was solid, but wasn't the difference. On our best chances, we either shot right into his chest or missed the net outright. GallyA's great chance, he shot low & well to the right, straight into his pad, when 3/4 of the net was wide open. DD had a great look, and shot it right into his emblem. That's the kind of thing I was talking about. Shot count alone doesn't tell the whole story. Conversion rate tells me more; I didn't see any truly great steals/saves, really.

We were the better team in the last 2 periods (not the 1st) but our chances were squandered, while their chances were easily avoidable.

This. We have the talent to be much better, but our system & ice time management is practically beyond explanation at this point. Surely Bergevin has to be able to see this?

No Gallagher, No Pacioretty, No Subban or Markov in the SO?? They Put Pleks & Eller before these guys??

Actually, Eller has always fared pretty well on the SO. Patches, not so much - Markov almost never gets a chance although he's apparently pretty good in practice. Pleks has bad numbers on the SO so im surprised he was picked.
