OK, LET'S NOT MOEN OVER LAST NIGHTS GAME,

AND CAN WE PLEASE PUT A LUMP OF COLE IN THEIR STOCKINGS

Sven Andrighetto was recalled from the Dogs to replace Lars Eller who was injured in the Hawks game.

Hot hands: Brendan Gallagher scored twice in Chicago and has eight goals on the season, while linemate Alex Galchenyuk had an assist to extend his point streak to three games.

Star power: Dallas has some top-end offensive talent, led by Boston Bruins castoff Tyler Seguin, who leads the NHL with 19 goals and has added 13 assists for 32 points in 26 games. Jamie Benn has 23 points and Jason Spezza has 21. The Stars are scoring close to three goals a game, but they have the worst goaltending in the league with a goals-against average of 3.53.

Familiar faces: This will be Travis Moen’s first game against the Canadiens since he was traded for Sergei Gonchar on Nov. 11. Moen has no points in nine games with the Stars after failing to earn a point in 10 games with Montreal. Gonchar has three points, including a power-play goal Friday night, with the Canadiens. Erik Cole, who was traded to Dallas six weeks after the lockout ended in 2013, has five goals and four assists in 25 games.

Home sweet home: This game wraps up the Canadiens’ four-game road trip and the Canadiens will begin a five-game homestand Tuesday night when they entertain the Vancouver Canucks.

It will be interesting to see what kind of 1st period we have, 7:30 start local time in Chicago, got in to Dallas around 3 lAM local time,, and have a 6 PM start local time start there. So, 2 games in less that 24 hours, with little sleep.

Carey will start in goal.

Here's a hint , how have their first period starts been for previous games.

They should be well rested , seeing as they seldom show up for the first period of most games.

But that 's the MT strategy

I'll tend to give them a pass on "tonight's" slow start ,,,, if they have it, for the reasons of being the last of a 6 game road trip,,, the last game of 3 games in 4 nights, and the late arrival into Dallas.
