AT THE CANADIAN TIRE STORE IN OTTAWA OR KANATA

HERE'S THE GOOD AND NOT SO GOOD STUFF

The Canadiens are 9-1 in their last 10 road games and 9-4 in their last 13 vs. a team with a losing record. The Senators are 1-4 in their last 5 home games and 5-1 in their last 6 vs. Atlantic. The Canadiens are 2-7 in the last 9 meetings in Ottawa and 4-1 in the last 5 meetings overall.

Our back-up, Tokarski, will face their back-up's back-up, Andrew Hammond. Hammond has a 5.71 GAA and a .600 SV%. Dustin Tokarski is 4-3-0 with a 1.95 GAA in seven road starts. To back up Hammond, they had to summon 20-year-old third-round pick Chris Driedger from Evansville of the ECHL. With the last-place IceMen, Driedger is 8-25-2 and has a 3.75 GAA and .888 save percentage.

Ottawa replaced Lehner with Andrew Hammond and he allowed two goals on five shots. Hammond, who is expected to make his first career start, stopped all 11 shots he saw over 35 minutes against Detroit on Feb. 27 in his only other NHL appearance.

Pacioretty has 12 goals and eight assists in his last 19 games after recording 14 goals in his first 37. Plekanec has four goals and three assists in his last six games and three goals and six assists in his last eight contests against Ottawa. Pacioretty has five goals and five assists in his last five meetings.

Except for the goaltender, Therrien appears set to stay with the same lineup that won in Detroit. That means forward Jiri Sekac and defenceman Greg Pateryn, who was called up this week from the American Hockey League’s Hamilton Bulldogs, would watch again from the press box.

Rookie goalie,,, starting his first game, at home,, piece of cake,,, right?

This is our chance at a little payback tonight. They knocked us out last year, and now we can pretty much put an end to their playoff hopes with a regulation win. I can still picture the Walrus laughing at us last season, and unfortunately we don't get the chance to wipe that smurk from his face. The organization deprived us of that privilege by canning his butt, however there's still a score to settle.

Looking forward to it. Hope the boys feel the same way.

....I could have sworn we made it to the Conference Finals last season, and the Rangers were who "knocked us out"....but then again, I'm in Vegas, where things move a little differently....

No problem. That's what happens when you've been a member of the Canadiens Fan Forum for many decades. Why, I remember when we used to have to send our posts using a telegraph. The important thing was that we tied an onion to our belt, which was the style at the time.
