CAN WE SCORE FIRST?

IF SO,,, CAN WE HOLD A LEAD?

CAN CAREY CONTINUE TO CARRY THE TEAM ON HIS BACK?

CAN WE SCORE MORE THAN TWO GOALS?

WHO WILL BE BENCHED FOR A MINOR MISTAKE?

HOW LONG WILL THE LINES LAST BEFORE THERRIEN MIXES THEM UP?

With their Vezina-winning goaltender out, the Jackets' chances of making the playoffs, get even more remote.

Thankfully, at least in the eyes of Ohio hockey fans, the Jackets still have their offensive tone-setter, as Ryan Johansen is enjoying another productive campaign. With 52 points, Johansen is nearly at a point per game, and holds a share of the team scoring lead with Nick Foligno. Unfortunately, it's been a struggle beyond that top line, as Scott Hartnell is the only other player to clear 30 points this year. For reference, the offensively-challenged Habs have seven players above the thirty point plateau.

Wrong kind of streak: The Canadiens’ last six losses have been against non-playoff teams and they have a two-game losing streak going into a game against a Columbus team that is better than its 26-27-3 record indicates. In their first meeting this season, the Blue Jackets had a 2-0 lead at home on Jan. 14, but the Canadiens scored three third-period goals to win 3-2. The Canadiens, who were given the day off on Friday, are banged up on defence, but the team’s No. 1 problem is a continued lack of offence. The Canadiens rank 23rd in the NHL with an average of 2.55 goals a game and they have scored more than two goals in only one of their last five games. The power plays ranks 25th in the NHL with a 16.4 per cent success rate and has produced only one goal in 18 opportunities over the past seven games.

The Columbus offence is only slighter better than the Canadiens, averaging 2.59 goals a game, but their power play ranks sixth in the NHL with a 22 per cent success rate.

The Blue Jackets, are missing six players. Nathan Horton has missed the entire season with a back injury, Boone Jenner is out with a bad back, Bobrovsky has a groin injury, Ryan Murray is dealing with a high ankle sprain and Jeremy Morin is out after experiencing an accelerated heart rate. They are all on the injured-reserve list, while Dalton Prout is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury.

Galchenyuk is still out with the flu.

I can't find the line-ups, so they will come later, let's just say, "Mix-and Match".

Nothing in the game day thread OP about MT being replaced. <_<

Great job Bud!

Thanks, 52. Not,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,yet,,,but there could be breaking news at anytime. ;)

Jacob De La Rose will play his 10th game this season. That means he will burn the first year of his entry level contract.

We'll probably win this game. I'll ride Peppy thinking I know all the moves we use as players, fall off and break my head. So I guess we are better off thinking we're gonna lose and not worry ahead of time.

Of course then again we're like second in the league and I haven't fallen yet so maybe I should just sit back and try enjoy it win OR lose. :)
