habs_93
Game 6 Sunday, 26 April 2015 6:00 PM EST ...Hey, it worked the first time. Previous results: Game 1: OTT 3 - MTL 4 Game 2: OTT 2 - MTL 3 (OT) Game 3: MTL 2 (OT) - OTT 1 Game 4: MTL 0 - OTT 1 Game 5: OTT 5 - MTL 1 The Ottawa Senators avoided being eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs at home once already in their Eastern Conference First Round Series against the Montreal Canadiens. They earned another opportunity to send their fans home happy from Canadian Tire Centre on Sunday."It's exciting to come back for Game 6," Ottawa goalie Craig Anderson said Saturday. "We have our fans, our building; we've worked hard to get to this point in the series and rewarding our fans with some good play, and hopefully they'll come out and support us and give us a good atmosphere to play in."The Senators have won the past two games after trailing 3-0 in the best-of-7 series to force Game 6. Ottawa was swept the previous four times it lost the first three games in a playoff series. The Senators were 14 points out of a playoff berth before going 23-4-4 to qualify."This team believes in itself," Ottawa coach Dave Cameron said. "It's been on the run here for two months and it believes in itself and it plays that way."Anderson, who got his third playoff shutout in Game 4, has stopped 120 of 123 shots since taking over from Andrew Hammond, who lost the first two games in Montreal."You know I think we've just kind of been focusing on the right things," Anderson said. "We've been in situations where they're not where we want to be, but we've found ways to kind of dig ourselves out of the hole, and we're in that situation now. We're still in the hole. We're still digging. We're kind of in the moment and just coming together as a group, sticking together, and just winning one game at a time."The Canadiens won the two times they played a Game 6 after leading a series 3-0; against the Buffalo Sabres in 1973, and the Hartford Whalers in 1988."We are still leading 3-2 so we're still in the driver's seat," Montreal center David Desharnais said. "We just have to win the next game."Canadiens goalie Carey Price allowed five goals in Game 5 after allowing seven goals through the first four games. He was named a Vezina Trophy finalist Friday."We have the best goaltender in the world," said Montreal right wing Dale Weise, who scored his second goal of Game 3 in overtime. "He's going to be there every night for us, he's going to be there next game and our team steps up in big moments. We've got to look at Game 6 as a game we want to win. We want to put the end to it right now so I like our group in big games." GO HABS GO!

BigTed3
Refs for tonight are Brad Watson and... Chris Lee. Back-up is Brian Pochmara. Lee is just a terrible ref, not one who targets a team in particular, but it's a problem for us having a ref who just randomly hands out penalties, since both our PP and PK have been awful this series. We want a low-penalty game to have a chance, and that likely doesn't happen with Lee.
Ewen
I have no faith that they will get the job done. No killer instinct. A bunch of players, not a team.....they don't gel. And even if they do pull it off and win a game somehow, this will only repeat in the next series and the frustration will continue. But that's for another day, maybe... BigTed3
PAP confirmed back in. Rumored to be DLR or DSP out, maybe both, since both did extra time after the morning skate. Does that mean Malhotra could be in too? Weise is a game-time decision.

Guest Regis2
Malholtra in and DSP and Weise out MT boggles the mind. This team is trying to score goals . MM has 1 all yr and DW at least went to the front of the net to screen Anderson on Gilbert's gioal

At least 2..and How many goals has the whole team scored the last two games? One..sigh again. MT can baffle any seasoned fan..and an one else I guess

kinot-1
WTG, 93. Am really wondering about the line-up changes. Manny and PAP in, for DW and DSP out. "If" MT was going to make changes, they should have been made last game. BTW, methinks Habs win 4-1, 1 PP goal, 2 5 on 5, and an MT netter. kinot-1
From Sportsnet: "Montreal’s most successful player against goaltender Craig Anderson in these playoffs was the only Canadien to miss the morning skate on Sunday, and his presence for Game 6 is questionable with a suspected cold/flu." BigTed3
Sweet news on the lines: Galchenyuk/Desharnais/WeisePacioretty/Plekanec/GallagherPrust/Eller/PAPDLR/Mitchell/DSP The 3rd and 4th lines seem to be a step up on what we've offered previously. Both could be match-up problems for the Sens. Not as convinced about the Galchenyuk-DD-Weise trio, as that scoring combo didn't seem to work out that well last game, but hey, I guess we'll see. At least PAP is back in.
jennifer_rocket
I'm feeling like we'll get a good game from Chris Lee. You just wait and see! He will give us zero powerplays, which will only help us because our powerplay is momentum-sucking.
