I'll admit, I used up a lot of Tampa material last year. But I'll give it a try.

Tampa joined the league at the same time as Ottawa, so that might explain something. You might ask yourself: Why do they call it the "Tampa Bay" Lightning, instead of just Tampa? Because Tampa itself only has about 10% of the population in the area, and I guess the team doesn't want to alienate all the other potential fans. The Tampa Bay Rays use the same principle:

The author Jack Kerouac lived in Tampa St. Petersburg, setting the stage for generations of people of Québécois descent outshining the locals. Tampa St. Petersburg is also home to the Salvador Dalí museum. Dalí, of course, painted The Persistence of Memory in 1931:

Time melting away in a desolate wasteland is, conveniently enough, an almost perfect metaphor for having to listen to Sportsnet or NBC drone on and on about Stamkos and Bishop.

Game 1 was frustrating. Really frustrating. You could argue the Habs were the better team for a large portion of it, but had continued their season-long trend of having somewhat awful offensive output and glaring defence lapses. Will the Habs get it together and play a complete game?

Slightly off topic, but this Habs fan "taught" his PC to recognize when a goal is scored, and flashes the lights in his rec-room when it happens.

TVA now adding that Stamkos is playing with a hand injury suffered in Game 1, as is Johnson. Tampa Bay media saying that Stamkos is not injured. Who's correct?

Really tired of this intro to the games... it's not very exciting. If they wanted to fire everyone up, why not show us some highlights of Beliveau and Richard and so on instead of a speech of his?

So how is Flynn at passing to Patches ?

He'll be playing with Galchenyuk and Weise, which more or less neutralizes Galchenyuk. Eller and PAP are brought down by Prust. Why not just combine Galchenyuk, Eller, and PAP and make a decent line instead of two halfsies?

Also, especially since Galchenyuk and Eller have played well together in the past... why not give Gally a boost when he's down instead of throwing him out with two 4th liners? That's not going to solve anything except the mystery of why our team can't score...

Stop the presses: Plekanec, Pacman, Weise to start... is there a chance EGG could be reunited?!?
