BizarreReverend
Not usrprised to see him moved to the wing, Hopefully frees him up a little more. He did generate 6 or 7 shots against the Blues, so that seems to have been the case for at least one game. Then again, there were 50 shots total in the game, but it's still over 10% of the teams SOG. He should be on the first unit playing that right side kid has amazing eyes and can feed pucks to almost any area of the ice. Watching him and subban feed the puck back and forth was one of the only highlights of the game for me

Watching him and subban feed the puck back and forth was one of the only highlights of the game for me I disagree entirely, and specifically with regards to Subban. His shot was plenty hard, and yeah, he scored a goal on the PP, but even the blind know at this point all we're going to do is set Subban up for a one timer from the point. I don't know a whole lot about hockey, but I know that if you're a one trick pony (we are), even the worst of teams can defend against you and your hard shot 9 times out of 10, which I believe basically sums up our power play right now. Hard to win games when the opposing team doesn't have to do anything for special teams besides say, "be ready for the cannon from Subban". Just my two cents. What do we do with that? You could make the same statement about essentially everyone else on the team.

I1IscottieI1I
I think its funny MT thinks putting chucky on a line with DD and weise will help him.whose chucky going to feed the puck to. DD has never been known as a goal scorer and we all know wiese is a solid 3rd line plugger but do we really want someone as offensivly tallented playing with those 2? I know Doughty shoots right just like PK and you can make a case that he's a slightly better defensman, but you'd think that a friend would lean towards having the leader of his defensive squad, and one of the best dmen in the league, listed there too

jennifer_rocket
I'm still waiting for Alex centering Max and Gallagher. Alternatively, I thought one of the best lines we saw for a few periods when Gallagher was absent was Galchenyuk on the wing with Max and Plekanec. Noob616
Utterly appalling the way he is being treated by this organization. One of the best young centers in the league playing on the wing with Desharnais and Weise. Insane.

Friedman was reporting that someone high in the Habs organization thinks Galchenyuk is "inconsistent". The irony is dumbfounding. It's like they are active trying to make him fail. If I was him, I'd be considering wanting out.

Is Geoff Molson sitting around saying, "Meh, Alex is pretty inconsistent for a 21 year old... WE'D BETTER PUT HIM ON THE WING WITH DESHARNAIS!" Therrien makes personnel decisions. What happens with Alex on the ice is Therrien's responsibility.

I didn't see a quote from Friedman but there were some reputable people (Marc Dumont and Andrew Berkshire I think) who were discussing it. Just when you think it can't get worse, it just gets more confusing and illogical.
caperns
I fear he will be traded fro Droiun, Galchenyk will become a regular 80 to 100 pt player under cooper and droiun will be traded after two seasons for a second round pick. It so sad we drafted a centerman and he was not even given a chance until his third season and and then they decided he was not even as good as DD so they put him on His wing but we all know therrien is a good coach

Hopefully the situation is addressed this off-season and Alex can be given a full-season role at center with decent wingers next year. I think a huge problem with this team has been the "WE'RE CUP CONTENDERS, YAY!" mentality. It feels like the team is afraid to use younger players in more prominent roles as if it's going to hurt our chances at winning the Cup this year... Well. Bad news team! We're not winning anything this season.
