Hockey I/O commenting that Condon's on the ice today and Tokarski is not.
PuckPundit
Rather take a gamble on him than sticking with Tokarski.
RyderRocks73
I actually see him as less of a gamble. We took a chance on Tokarski because he stepped in when we needed him in the playoffs. His regular season appearances have been below average and he looked especially to be the lesser goaltender during the preseason. Condon seems to play more conservatively and it feels like he will be a guy that will still give the team a winning record when he plays. If Price goes down or he needs to be replaced for long stretches or during the playoffs, then he really only needs to be given the chance to prove himself. But I see him as a more reliable option; he's taken a less flashy path to the NHL and he's had to prove himself at every level to get there. The Condor has something to say about your prediction. Congrats on your first win! Here's to many more with the Habs.
Guest
Congrats kid on your 1st of many. Close to a shut out too. That would have been a little icing.
Habberwacky
Congrats kid on your 1st of many. Close to a shut out too. That would have been a little icing. Yeah a small bounce off the trapper that snuck. Looks similar to Carey as I don't see a lot of extra movement in his game. Great game by all tonight to support the rookie. fnveenie
It's still early, but so far, I would be much more comfortable with Condon taking over if there is an injury to Price. He looked good last night. He is in control of his movement, for the most part. If Fucale pans out, we will have more depth in goal than we have had in a while. HabsRuleForever
Yeah it's early but I already feel more confident in the position. What a great cross crease save he made in the dying moments.

I'm not as worried with Condon playing, whereas, pretty much every time the puck came near Tokarski, I was holding my breath.
vegasrick
I think it was the right choice to take Condon over Tokes. I know it's early, but he sure seems to have that calm confidence ala Carey. He would have had a shutout if not for that stupid breakdown on our PP that led to the odd-numbered shorthanded chance....and even then, he almost saved it. HabsRuleForever
Well we got a record on the line, do you trust Condon to play Friday? Yes it's an 82 game season. Don't worry about records but yes I feel confident enough if I was worried about a record.
Guest
I'm not concerned. He needs work and if we were to wait until after a record attempt ended,, then it could be several more weeks before he gets in another game.
