kinot-1
Agreed on Keith. I'd say rest of regular season and entire first round, whether that's 4 games or 7. He's a repeat offender with a similar stick-swinging incident to his name. NHL needs to be as harsh on a star as they are on Kaleta or Torres. He's been suspended twice. habs_93
He's been suspended twice. So we've got a palpably illegal act which was assessed a match penalty by a player with a record. I can't wait to see how badly the NHL bumbles this.

habs_93
Keith suspended for 6 games. Includes the first playoff game. There was no chance that the NHL would properly suspend a high profile player on a heavily marketed team, I guess. It's still a joke.

habs_93
And there it is. Yet again, the initiative is clear: protect the worthless, dirty players at all costs, particularly if they're plying their trade for historically dirty teams. The only thing these nothing players contribute are the derailed and potentially destroyed careers of people who are actually capable of playing hockey. An entirely unreasonable benefit of the doubt was extended to a completely irrelevant player like Bellemare, he of a whole 26 career NHL points. Calling Bellemare dime a dozen is an insult to the otherwise nondistinct players who weave in and out of the league. And this dreg of dregs is what the NHL goes out of its way to protect.
