Serious response:

Excellent! Quite the accomplishment, HRF. Smoking is super hard to kick.

Joke response:

How long did it take for the fire department to show up?

Serious response

Thanks

Joke Response

Got a light?

Shots 17 - 7 Habs

That's what we must do for two more periods but we know that won't be.

Sure was. But it's intermission now. Time for a cigarette.

Hey what happens in internet RickVegas stays in his backyard.

Okay, guys. Would you mind being my focus group? I want to make the best possible possession graph for posting here between periods. So I need to know what you like and don't like about these existing graphs, which show the same thing:

Do you like the stacked lines from the War on ice graph? Or do you like the single line from NST? Instead of lines, would you like bars, or maybe an area graph? Would you prefer if goal markers were lines or dots? Want more info on events? And so on. You want it, I'll (try to) make it. No suggestion or question is too odd, small, and so on.

I'm more familiar with the single-line graph so that would be my immediate preference.

Unless I get an overwhelming demand for a two-line graph, I'm planning on going with the single line. The only thing I don't like about the NST single line is it has no easy way to see at a glance if it's a high event or low event game when the flow is relatively equal. So I'm thinking about adding something to make that more obvious. I'm also going to always have Montreal on the top of the graph so it's a little less bewildering at a glance.

I like having the legend included with the graph.

Color palette could be better (hard to tell the first 3 legend colors apart and the 4 on 4 time is tough to make out in the graph).

For forum presentation, short and wide is generally better, if you could condense it without sacrificing integrity. (half if possible).

Guess we'll have to wait to see what a goal looks like first. ;)

That's all for now. Will let you know if something else comes up.

Still not seeing what Flynn and Byron bring to the table that Bournival did not. Also not seeing how any of those players qualify as being 1st line players. If Semin was deemed a failure as a player, then how does Byron not get chided for his lack of production either? The guy has 3 non-SH points with us this season, including his most recent goal being a bounce off a defender's body and in (not really a skill goal). You want to play Byron on the 4th, fine. But let's not go pretending he's a first liner and let's not pretend we don't have other options (Andrighetto, Hudon, McCarron, Semin, Kassian, Carr were or are guys we could have opted for instead).
