who do you guys got?

I listed the 3 that the guys from tsn 690 picked.

for me its eller by a mile.

played every single game, worked hard, great defensive work, and 5pts in 8 games when actually given a chance to center the top 6

bealieu is a decent choice too, mitchell ...give me a break...but anyway. have at it commenteurs

Selection is pretty slim

But yea , Eller seems like the best pick , too bad he will probably get traded in the summer :D

I would give Condon an honorable mention if I could . For an undrafted kid I think he did pretty good considering the circumstances he was thrown in

If I were to give my top 3

3. Condon: not many rookies come in and play as many games as he did. He kept us in a lot of games that we might have won if it weren't for a bad system and a lack of scoring. With a better coach, Condon probably has better numbers and we're probably still in the playoff hunt. You can tell how much better he was than Scrivens.

2. Eller: pretty much the definition of an unsung hero. He does a lot of things that common fans just don't pick up on because what he does doesn't show up on the traditional stat sheet. He takes hard match-ups, he plays both ends of the ice well, he is great at defending the puck, and his possession numbers are very good for the circumstances he's given.

1. Galchenyuk: maybe some won't consider him an unsung hero, but considering Therrien gave him the 9th or 10th most ice time among forwards in many games this year, he really did a heck of a lot with the little help he was given. From the organization's point of view, he has never been the credit he deserves and that is why I'd personally consider him an unsung hero. He's been our best forward this year and it's not even close.

i like your reasoning on the chuck pick ted. definitely has merit,he has definitely shown he has some true star quality without the reinforcement of our current coaching staff

couldnt help but notice that torrey mitchell got more ice time than him in our last game...its a joke that truly isn't funny.

kid has been treated like some kind of bubble player when hes clearly our most exciting and valuable young player

Ted provides a good argument for Galchenyuk, but I went with Eller because of the sheer amount of garbage he has to deal with from every direction. He quietly plays an incredibly important role, and I dread to think what the team would look like without him. He's the kind of player whose value is blatantly obvious if you're willing to do a little bit of easy research. And yet so many don't, instead preferring to make poor snap judgments based on antiquated views of a game that doesn't exist anymore to reinforce imaginary narratives. Truly a pity.

my views exactly, which is why i picked him "by a mile"

eller gets no love from coach or manager, regardless of what he is able to accomplish and contribute

this is 2 years in a row we are hearing he is being actively shopped, this is more than 2 years in a row we have chosen to give a very effective possession player no linemates and no effective o-zone or pp time in favour of inferior players (dd) and the writing on the wall.....getting grinder type players at the deadline who play his position...seems to indicate our GM is looking to replace him with a vastly inferior player because he just cant put up the points we hope he would put up despite the fact that we give him no opportunity to put up any kind of offence

as you said, with any sort of basic research and analysis, its very easy to see that not only does lars excel in his role, he exceeds expectations when given even the smallest of chances
