Habberwacky
I think they have said he will get a game before we are done this season.

BigTed3
I too am curious to see this kid get some action. He does come highly recommended and he's a pretty big boy. It sounds like 1. Part of his contract deal was that he would get to spend the rest of the year in the NHL 2. He seemed resolved to the fact he would likely be in the AHL next season but was hopeful he would get quite a few games there. Based on that, you'd think if the Habs made him the deal of being in the NHL and allowing him the chance to challenge Fucale for AHL starter next year that he'd get at least one game this season. Doubt he gets the season finale, so probably the next one against Florida (so Condon doesn't face same team back to back) or else the game after (so that there's less pressure on the road). Guest
My guess would be the game vs the Canes. Doubt strongly they give him a home game.
Guest Regis2
His father was a big Habs fan and he had , or has, Ken Dryden painted on his mask. Noit that his father being a big Habs fan makes a difference , it didn't for Dale W

Can't see why he can't get the start in Montreal in his first game. Give the kid a big thrill. What has anyone to lose?

Habs usually play the safe bet in net at home. Unlikely they'll risk aggravating the fans even more for the amount of money they dish out at home games. Guest Regis2
There was talk on the radio if the league expands each team would only be able to protect one goalie . Pittsburgh was the example used in do the Penguins protect MAF and leave Matthew Murray available. Possibly the Habs are thinking long term ( for a change ) . Price is protected and maybe they think they could lose one of Condon , Lindgren or Fucale

If he pans out you get an NHL goalie for free, and if he doesn't you've risked nothing.

jennifer_rocket
I would give Lindgren the start in the last game. Condon has been largely inefficient in goal this year, so why not give the new guy a home start to end the season?

Manatee-X
I wouldn't be upset either way, but I'd be happy to see Condon start the last game. I think everyone would agree that the result is pretty much meaningless in the grand scheme of things, so at this point I'd say just dance with the girl you brought (or however that old saying goes ). Condon's had to put up with this terrible team all year, so we might as well let him finish out the season at home.

jennifer_rocket
looked ok. not sure how he compares to Fucale I haven't watched much of the IceCaps this season, but Fucale's numbers seem pretty bad. 3.11 GAA and 0.903 Save%. I'm assuming he'll be back in St. John's next year, with no shot of making Montreal.

The GAA is probably not telling, given how badly the team is coached. You'd like the Sv% to be a big higher in the AHL, but again, I'd like to know what Fucale can do in a better system. Ya know that won't happen as long as SL is the coach, and SL coaches the same as MT's "system".
