They are over prescribed , that said it's not unusual to have antibiotics prescribed for a severe flu. When it is all said and done the team is under no obligation to tell fans everything about every injury or illness.

maas_art
Since April 1st, 2015 Carey Price is 19-2-1, the best winning pct (.886) among Goaltenders with at least 20 starts.
H_T_L
Price is just good enough to rewrite average stats for goaltenders all on his own. Analytic guys are left scratching their heads over his out of this world play.

BigTed3
According to advanced stats posted by Marc Dumont from EOTP, Carey has prevented 10 goals from going in compared to league average goaltending. Montoya has prevented another 5. That means that together, the Habs can thank goaltending alone for saving 15 goals against compared to having the league average goaltender. Currently, we have 20 more GF than GA, including a number of empty-net goals that wouldn't have been there if we hadn't been leading. With league-average goaltending, we'd be pretty much even in terms of GF/GA and likely have a record around .500 (i.e. not good enough to make the playoffs). So once again, we are seeing we are a playoff team with Price and a borderline playoff team, maybe not even in the picture, without getting star goaltending. This year, Montoya keeps us above league average even without Price, but the point stands that with league-average goaltending, we would not be having any success. I would prefer to see him vs the Hawks myself but in this case it does make sense,,,unless of course MT is planning on going against the strategy of resting Price on B2B's and giving him both starts. I highly doubt it though.

BigTed3
As usual, the media is blowing Carey's tirade out of proportion and questioning whether he should be suspended. The fact is that we've seen goalies throw blocker punches many times and it's frequently not even been called a penalty, never mind the double minor Price got. I can recall seeing Mike Smith do this twice, once against us and once against the Sens. Ben Bishop has done it repeatedly, here's one of them as he takes a swing with his blocker hand at Prust's face: Here's Rask hitting Lupul with a blocker:
